One of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed in !!!1
All the rooms are recently built, very clean, comfy and quiet , but best of all was the hospitality of our hosts. Their local knowledge made our stay special.
Irish welcome at its best !!
Good breakfast too !
Will definitly go back and take our dog next time ( dogs welcome which is great ).

my partner and I had a great 3 days in Newcastle.
Colm and Frances, owners of the Amble Inn were fantastic hosts...nothing appeared to be any trouble. We stayed in the Glen room which was immaculate. The large ensuite was an excellent wet room for changing after a days hiking in the Mourne Mountains.
Colm lent me his route maps and the provision of sandwiches at no charge was a particularly nice touch!!
We would highly recommend the Amble Inn to anyone considering hiking in the Mournes.

We visited Newcastle to fulfil a long-held dream to climb at least one of The Mournes. What a bonus to find that our host was himself a climber! We were treated to first-hand advice about climbing Slieve Donard and given "extra mile" assistance in preparing for our climb. Our room was perfect - clean, welcoming, stylish and with a great bathroom. Breakfast was yum and we were given lots of helpful tips for getting the most out of our visit to Newcastle. Thanks with bells on to Colm and Frances, who we now regard as friends. We live on the other side of the world but would love to visit the Amble Inn again.

The two proprietors of this centrally located but very quiet B&B were two of the most fun people to ever open a B&B, great natural sense of humor and and overall willingness to ensure that you have the best stay possible.
