“BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED 1700'S HOME WITH FANTASTIC HOSTS”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2010

Warmly welcomed with tea in the parlor upon arrival and on returning in the evening to this tranquil and lovely location. We enjoyed the entertaining chatter with our lively host Larry. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with the hosts checking to see if our needs were met. Our two days were not enough.

I actually stayed here in August, but for some reason forgot to add my review! What a LOVELY bed and breakfast - once again, b and b's in Ireland outstrip five star hotels every time in terms of service and value. We had a lovely big bedroom with two beds, which was possibly the cleanest I have ever stayed in! Breakfast naturally was huge and set you up for the day, and was at a big table with other guests, a nice touch, especially when Larry joined us for a laugh. When we first arrived, we watched a GAA match with Larry when we first got there, and had tea made for us, and later on, when we brought chips back to our room, Liz very kindly got out plates and glasses and cutlery and brought them to our room, when we only asked for a knife and fork! A lovely location, as I say in my title, very quiet, just the sounds of animals moving around, very peaceful. A great place and great hosts if you're out this neck of the woods.

We had an amazing time at the Dundrum House. Liz and Larry were very helpful and wonderful hosts. My husband and I were so pleased and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The view from our room was spectacular and the breakfast was delicious. We went to Ireland for my husband's 40th birthday- spent time in Cassie's Pub in Keady and a MUST is to do a day trip to Benburb. They have a great pub and small artist shops.
We will definitely return to Dundrum House on our next trip!

My husband and I traveled to Ireland in late September/ early October 2010 with his parents as well as his sister and her husband (6 of us total). During our vacation of 10 days, we traveled the entire country and stayed in a different B&B each night. Dundrum House was our first night in Ireland and it was delightful! It's located in the country on a working farm (with sheep and everything!), but is still only a short drive (5 mins) to town for food/drinks. (Now it should be noted, I'm not a "farm girl" but it never smelled like a farm, so I didn't even notice it). We were assigned the private "cottage" with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a full kitchen. It was great to have the private cottage all to ourselves with the extra room in the kitchen/dining room area. Two of the bedrooms were upstairs and one was downstairs and was completely handicap accessible (including the shower & toilet). The rooms were adequate size and were all ensuite (bathroom attached). The only complaint, and it is really a small one, is that the bed was not comfortable, but we were so exhausted from our days of travel that it sufficed. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was in the main house and was delicious (traditional Irish breakfast with continental items available like yogurt and cold cereal). It would have been a pleasure to stay here another night, but we had an entire country to see!

My husband and I stayed in delightful Dundrum House for two nights in June this year. I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Larry and Liz were so hospitable. Breakfast was great! Their advice on our travel very helpful. Larry's sense of humour was fun. The bedroom with its pretty view overlooking the farm had everything we needed. There was a real sense of history which both Larry and Liz were happy to share.

This is the second time we've stayed at Dundrum House, and it remains our favorite Bed and Breakfast! Besides the house itself being a beautifully restored 1700's home, the setting is a working farm in County Armagh. From our comfortable and very clean room we looked out at the countryside and smiled at two lambs grazing in the front yard. The house and location are especially lovely, but it is the host and hostess who lift Dundrum House above other B&B's. Liz took time to help me with bus schedules even before we arrived and promised to pick us up in Armagh City if we needed a lift. Larry greeted us at the door with tea and biscuits and conversation that made us feel we were special friends. County Armagh was one of two places we returned on our second trip to Ireland, and should we be so fortunate as to go again, we will certainly reserve a room at Dundrum House.

I stayed at Dundrum House for one night in April 2010, and wish I could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful, and perfectly restored. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and tasty breakfast. Plus lambs on the front lawn, and a tour of a working farm made this place a perfect break!
