“absolutely super place to saty”

so tranquil, cottage very cosy and comfy, well kitted out though a larger TV screen would be a small improvement. Very clean, well looked after property in a beautiful area of NI. The beds were comfy, rooms well sized and the views lovely. A warm welcome and first class service. We'd our dog with us and it was more than suitable.

“Fab-u-lus!”
Reviewed October 16, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Beautiful rural location. Well equipped kitchen. Log fires all laid ready to light. Lovely comfortable rooms, all 4 spacious and en suite.

The village is pretty and quiet, the pubs were only open at the weekend, but there are nice cages.

Loads of walks for the dogs, but the garden is not fully enclosed, although lovely, dogs and young children will easily get under the gates or through the hedge to the field.

Great BBQ and picnic bench and small lawn.

We loved and will be going back.

“Well equipped cosy country cottage close to Armagh”
Reviewed September 1, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Stayed in goose cottage with my siblings and kids for the weekend whilst visiting family in the Armagh area. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped (didnt miss anything except perhaps a food blender in the kitchen for baby food :-)). I really appreciated the fact that there were teabags, tinfoil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, salt and pepper, bin bags etc in the kitchen rather than having to buy all. The bedding was high quality with plenty of towels and bathroom mats. The beds were comfortable with good pillows. we didnt have much time for tourism but we took a lovely walk in Castle Leslie estate only 10 mins drive away. Kate answered all of my wuestions very promptly. Overall very comfortable and good value for money in a location perfect for us. Only suggestion to improve is to have some plants/ flowers in the garden and perhaps comfortable chairs for the summer in the garden.

“Wonderful, cosy cottage”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We only stayed for two great value nights on a family trip, and really wished it could have been longer.

It's a pair of beautiful old cottages converted into one spacious holiday rental and set in some lovely countryside. The pictures really don't do it justice. There are four ensuite rooms and well-proportioned living areas with really comfortable sofas and lots of logs for the open fire.

A few essentials were thoughtfully provided, such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar and sachets of various marmalades and jams, plus it's only about a 25 minute walk at a leisurely pace into the village of Caledon.

The electric showers weren't particularly hot, but that's fine and infinitely preferable to the ridiculous scorching-hot-followed-by-freezing-cold dance you usually have to do under such contraptions.

The only real negative was that one of the mattresses that makes up the downstairs king-sized bed was quite springy and uncomfortable, but I'm sure that if Lord Caledon popped up to Ikea in Belfast, he could replace it.

I will definitely be booking again next time I'm over to visit family.

“The perfect cottage stay”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Goose Cottage is a light, airy and charming renovated stone cottage on a peaceful country lane surrounded only by fields with cows and the occasional pheasant wandering by outside. Armagh with its attractive Georgian buildings is not far away and the Republic of Ireland is just down the road. We loved coming home each day to our very peaceful haven and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
