Our first time holidaying in Ballycastle, what a beautiful area, plenty to see and do. Our first meal out was at the Diamond and it was excellent, the Staff very friendly and helpful, directing us to various places of interest. Our party of four all agreed that the food was of great quality and presentation and ate there for five days of our seven days holiday, every meal was delicious. Highly recommended

I had the steak with "Bush Mills" sauce and it was delicious! The service was excellent.
I had asked about the "Bush Mills" sauce and Colm, our waiter, to my surprise asked the chef for the recipe then explained how it was made.
The atmosphere was very friendly and you are made to feel "at home." I highly recommend the Diamond Bar for a great dinner and a friendly reception.

Me and my wife was out for a drive around the coast and decided to stop in ballycastle for something to eat.she said the diamond had good reviews on trip advisor.so we went in now the bar man was nice he said he would get the waiter.the waiter. came and gave us a menu whilst he was on his phone which I thought was a bit ignorant.anyway we ordered some food I had the cod chips and mushy peas my wife had chicken goujons with garlic fries.and all I can say was it was terrible chips were like yesterday's wasn't impressed and it cost me 24 pound won't be back there.

Went there on may day bearing in mind ballycastle was packed with people, should have rung alarm bells when we walked in this place at 1.15pm there was 2 men at bar and no-one was eating but we ordered anyway, the food waiter came to us on his mobile one, we had to wait until he finished his conversation, I don't know why he didn't wait to come to us when he finished his call!, well I can honestly say that this was the worse meal I have had in the last few years I had chicken goujans they were neither breaded or battered, they were terrible no taste and soft, the chips were at least 2 days old were unedible and for lunch was expensive 7.75, my husband got fish and chips his fish was out of a box, ( asda own brand) and his Chips were the same as mine unedible and was 9.95, a very expensive mistake I will nevere make, the food waiter was buying the food from the local shop round the corner, I won't even give this a one star, there was no garnish or anything with the food, I think all these reviews have to be relatives or something because a decent bar would not have served that even on a bad day.
