Glen Haven Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #11 of 24 Ballycastle B&B and Inns

We were on the way to the Giant's Causeway and booked this B&B via the tourist information centre in Belfast. We arrived at half past nine in the evening, 30 minutes later than we expected because it took us longer to find the B&B as we were not yet familiar with driving in Ireland. We were warmly welcomed by Irene, who realised that we probably had not yet eaten and made us toast and tea. The house is nicely located in a tranquill area with beautiful environment. Visitors who wish to walk to the town centre may find it a bit far away but it was not a problem for us as we just needed a place to stay for a night before heading off to the Giant's Causeway. The next morning we were served with tasteful homemade breakfast by Irene. Hearty B&B experience!

My 13 year old son and me spent two days in Irene's Glenhaven. We really found it a place to come home to after our trips in the area. A clean and well maintained bedroom with two beds, an ensuite and television, a very good breakfast, and last but not least a very friendly and hospitable owner. Don't let Irene's frail posture fool you though because she has a black belt in Karate :)
Seriously, if I ever go back to Northern Ireland i will definitely stop over at Glenhaven.

this is the fourth year i have stayed at the glenhaven as a guest of irene who is a very friendly and well respected member of the local community, the facilities at the house are second to none as is the welcome and especially the breakfast. the locaction is on a quiet estate of privately owned houses and is a brisk ten minute walk to the town. where i have always found the local residents both warm and welcoming. i cannot recommend this guest house highly enough. see you next year irene, thanks again.

Room Tip: all the rooms are excellant

My friends and I have been coming over to Northern Ireland for some years now, to watch the Northwest 200 Motorcycle Racing, as our group expanded we needed to find bigger lodgings, and we found The Glen Haven, Irene the owner, has never let us down no matter how many is in the party, we are always made welcome, and well looked after, The Breakfast alone is usually enough to keep you going until Tea time, I'd recommend this establishment without any hesitation!

I chose this B&B on the basis of other reviews, but was a little disappointed. The location was quiet, but too far out of town to walk in on a wet day. The rooms were clean, the breakfast good, and the owner friendly and helpful. I have marked the B&B down on little things - the rooms were small, I had no bedside light, and there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. The breakfast room was small, we all ate on one table. I enjoyed meeting the other guests, but this would not suit everybody.

Irene and family are so welcoming its untrue, as the title says" just like my mums". She spares no effort in how helpfull she is and nothing is a problem. This is the second year i have stayed at Glenhaven while over at the NW 200, and it will be my port of call every year from now on. Clean rooms and excellent value for money, id recommend it to everyone who is going to pay a visit to the Antrim coast. Special, thanks Irene.
