My son and I were very happy with the owner as well as the property. The owner went out of his way for us (we had screwed up on our reservation type) as well as had a great breakfast afterwards. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and the shower was actually tall enough for me. Very scenic country views there as well.

My mother and I knocked on the door just before dinner time and were welcomed immediately. We were recommended a great place to eat in nearby Ballycastle before we returned to the best B&B we stayed at our entire tour of Ireland. Carnately Lodge is friendly, inviting and comfortable. We felt our hosts genuine interest in their guests and were astounded at the efforts taken to accomodate our needs.
Pratically, Carnately Lodge is well priced, meticulously clean, ideally situated and easy to find, but it offers much more than that; for my mother and I, it was home for four days and three nights while leisurely toured the breathtaking coast.

We booked this B&B as a result of the previous reviews on "tripadvisor" and we were not disappointed. The place is well kept and the hosts could not have made us more welcome. It is ideally located to visit the Giant Causeway and the "rope bridge". The breakfast is really good, one of the best we have ever had in any accommodation in Ireland. We really recommend this B&B!!

We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. In beautiful surroundings beside the Glentaise, neighbored by lovely green fields and a family of rabbits to welcome you every morning. It is the perfect base while you explore all the main attractions by the Causeway Coast, all within short distance. We recommend you to stay for a couple of nights at least so that you get the opportunity to se all the best that Northern Ireland can offer. The rooms are beautiful and the bed incredible, it's impossible not to relax! Friendlier hosts than Trevor and Robert are hard to come by. Regardless your choice of breakfast (and there are several options) you will not be dissapointed. Our only regret is that we could'nt stay longer!

I booked my stay at Carnately Lodge 6 months in advance and was told our booking was confirmed and they looked forward to seeing us. However, when we showed up on Saturday night, we were told there were no vacancies and they gave our rooms away. We were told that we didn't show up early enough however, in communicating with them about our stay they never once told us that we needed to be there by a certain time. They helped us find another bed and breakfast to stay in quite quickly, where the owner of that bed and breakfast informed me that they had been looking for a place for my family to stay since Thursday!! She told us that Robert gave our rooms away on Thursday and never informed me of it until we showed up on his doorstep with nowhere to go! I was appalled at the way we were treated as if this was our fault and he never apologized or acknowledged what he did was wrong. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed for two nights and wished it could be more. Trevor and Robert provide an exceptional service in a wonderful location. Set it a beautiful rural location but handy for the town and the whole Causeway Coast this was the perfect B & B. The breakfast was wonderful and they were happy to accommodate reasonable requests. Every time we returned to the house we were met by one of the proprietors and offered tea or coffee.

A group of us stayed at the Carnately Lodge for two nights prior to a friends wedding. The owners, Robert and Trevor (and Harvey the dog), were the consumate hosts. You couldn't ask for any more. Friendly, good whiskey, great food, clean rooms, great views, superb location for getting to the Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Glens and beaches. All round 5 star. We would certainly recommend Carnately to anyone that's heading to this part of the world! We had a great time, sitting up late in the night to chat with the owners about anything and nothing!

The co-owner Trevor was previously a chef in a top restaurant, so you can look forward to a top breakfast!
