We had booked James St south for a hen day - this was our morning activity. We were greated warmly by Niall and his team and the venue was really suitable there was a lovely ambiance and it set the tone for the rest of the day - friendly, engaging & relaxed. Our class was cocktails & canapes and the staff embraced our 1950's theme with cocktails and canapes that tied in perfectly. The cocktail lesson was excellent and for those who wanted there was the opportunity to have a go and throw in an extra measure of Gin while you were there!! There were a few ladies who weren't taking part in the alchohol aspect and the team happily made some non-alcoholic cocktails up too.
The food was superb and the Hen was put through her paces in making the canapes for her chicks!! We dined on crab on toast, smoked salmon, duck canapes & risotto and there were other options for our vegetarian guests. The humour, service and experience were excellent and the staff joined in with our "Hen-do-oke" experience as well. Just when we though we couldn't get any better service as we left the heavens opened and Niall came out with a few umbrellas - we couldn't have the Hen's hair getting wet!!
