I have been to the market Friday, Saturday and Sunday on may occasions.

The best day in my honest opinion is Sunday as there is less customers so you have a lot more room to browse stalls.

Friday is a very early market which is where you would find the like of socks, batteries and cheap t-shirts. Not the best day to go. Saturday is quite busy and has lively music, great food, and lovely craft stalls to visit. On Sunday, the market is essentially the same as Saturday but with more artist/craft stalls, more room to move about and has a lovely array of antiques, vintage clothes and vintage vinyl. choose from crepes to cupcakes, burgers to baskets of vegetables.

If you are looking for something unique, visit this place!

Love this place. I live locally and visit every few weeks and always have a great experience. I usually go on Saturday late morning as it's busy and got a great atmosphere then. Too early and it feels a bit dead, too late and it's just too packed. On other days there's not the variety of stalls that there is on Saturdays. Great place to try new food and buy fresh veg, fish and meat. Lots of tastes of products to try. Good range of stuff for tourists too. Can highly recommend the Cuban sandwich stall, Altemeyer chocolate florentines and any of the Indian vegetarian stalls.

This is a interesting market that has fish mongers as well as ethnic food cooks. Also many vendors selling things like purses, baggage, jewelry, i.e. flea market type items. Only wished we could have purchased some of the local fruits & veggies (we were on a Rick Steves tour & not in a position to cook any food). Great place for a very informal lunch.
