“Great location in great city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

Belfast has become a great place to visit, and this higher end chain hotel is very well placed to give visitors access to the city and its key locations. Very good location within 10 easy minutes walk to City Hall and the centre of town. This place is very stylish and comfortable, but dont opt for breakfast... Instead treat yourself to one of the more cost effective optiond the City has to offer!

Stayed here while on a CIE bus tour. Found it to be a bit "cold" as compared to the comfy and quaint hotels previously enjoyed. Belfast was a bit of a cold city and not nearly as clean and friendly as was Dublin and the countryside enjoyed to this point. Hotel appeared to be furnished by Ikea..... restaurant was a bit stark, but fairly efficient with a good dinner and a good breakfast buffet..... but not quite the quality of those experienced in the previous 2 weeks. Room was large enough and comfortable with clean baths. Did not feel comfortable walking around in Belfast area.... perhaps it was from being a bit tired, but others on tour felt same way.

Just spent a great weekend here with my wife. Lovely location, friendly staff, Patrick on the bar was very helpful and a great all round hotel. Only complaints, the duvet was to small for the bed so ended up wrestling the wife all night for control of the duvet. The air con is noisy, had to put up with the sound of running water every time it kicked in which does not help if you've had a few beers. Overall a good hotel with a good location for the main attractions in Belfast, would stay here again

My wife and I and 4 friends stayed here while attending a concert in Belfast.
The check-in process was efficient and we went off to our rooms. As soon as we entered our room you could smell a fusty/stale smokey type of odour. We check with our friends and their rooms smelt clean and fresh. They also could smell the strange odour in our room. I returned to reception and the lady on reception allocated us another room. This room was fine and smelt fresh. We all headed out soon after. As we walking past our first room a member of staff was exiting from it. As I approach the reception desk (Returning the keys to our original room) I could hear the member of staff (Who had just left the problem room) ridiculing us to other members of staff. As I approached the desk I overheard one of the staff members saying “that’s them there”. This was very unprofessional conduct from the hotel staff.
Out stay went without any further problems. The hotel was very nice, but the large open plan reception area which also led into the bar area was extremely cold due the draft caused by the constant opening and closing of doors on either side of the main reception area. The hotel setting is nice.
We did not eat breakfast in the hotel during this stay.

Went with friends, this includes children, for week-end (2 nights) to Belfast with intention to see the Belfast Titanic and W5.
Location -we chose the Radisson Blu for its location in City center and the mostly reliable good standard/reputation, Radisson Blu's offer in general - was not disappointed! Walking distance to City Center ( it did rain a lot so we used the car/taxi quite a bit - only a couple of minutes to our target attractions) Rooms: (business room, couch converts to additional bed for kids, okay for 1 child ) quite roomy, very clean and tidy, very friendly chambermaids with an eye for detail. Very poor view from our room- The hotel is in the area of the old gasworks- while one side of the hotel site is quite attractive with water features and walk ways, the side of main entrance and car park is dire and adjacent to industrial park wasteland.
Front desk staff: from extremely helpful and charming- to 'sorry I am busy' attitude, very mixed bag.
Restaurant: We arrived early evening, weather was not great, so we decided for 'Filini', the Italian restaurant within the hotel. Lovely food, quite steeply priced for Italian food; slightly quirky service in a near empty restaurant - sadly, not much atmosphere - due to minimalist fit-out and large surface area.
I'd say a great business hotel, quiet, quick and easy internet access- efficient front desk staff and very solid breakfast offer. For families, while we have no complaints as per say, there is not much on offer but a good sized room with a comfy big bed. I would not book in for a romantic stay-
We had great company, so nothing dampened our spirits and all in all, we had a great stay!
Special mention to the Scottish girl with the Northern Irish accent- You are lovely, very helpful- thanks again.

Room Tip: Couch bed for children really only suits 1, unless children are < 6 years old, View to front not...

Me and my boyfriend had arranged to stay at the Radisson Blu for my 21st birthday for a quiet break together. When we arrived even though we were early for check-in the lovely man at the desk (cannot remember his name) greeted us, explained everything in detail and allowed us to go up to our room despite being so early, he was most pleasant and attentive.

When we got up to our room which was a standard room on the 4th floor of the hotel, we were delighted at how clean, spacious and bright the room was. We also were granted a water view room at our request which was also lovely. The bathroom was cleaned to a high standard and had great lighting for doing make-up etc. The room had a double bed with accompanying side chair and coffee table, bedside tables complete with lamps and a work/dressing area.

We had a busy day shopping and were rushed off our feet so it was nice to come back to such a comfy bed to relax on upon coming back. The TV has freeview channels and is easy to use. We also found the ice bucket and ice machines beside the lift useful for cooling our drinks.

We had a great sleep, the bed and pillows were comfy and the temperature of the room was perfect. The hotel looks lovely lit up at night and overall is a very relaxing space. When we got up the next morning we went downstairs to the restaurant for our buffet breakfast, where a lovely and attentive waitress explained how it works. We chose our table and went to fill our plates. There was plenty to choose from, from cereals and fruit to hot food. The food I had chosen was hot and enjoyable and staff in the restaurant are always happy to help.

Our check-out was quick and easy and we had absolutely no complaints about anything. We were very pleased with our stay here and are planning to stay again very soon. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, although it seems it would be of most use for business.

Thank-you Radisson Blu and we will see you again soon :)

I stayed in the Belfast Radisson Blu's business class room (#707) for nine nights in mid-June 2013. I had no complaints during my stay. The business room was quite large (especially when compared to the standard London-size hotel rooms) and included a king-bed, sofa-bed coach and accompanying side chair, as well as a desk. The property was clean. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast was a full big spread. I wasn't bothered by anyone during my stay which was a plus. I have no idea of the value of the room as my employer covered the costs. It's a fine upper mid-range hotel in Belfast. No complaints.
