Owner description: The SS Nomadic is known as Titanic's little sister. Built at the same time, by the same people, in the same Harland and Wolff shipyard as Titanic, Nomadic brought those boarding the great liner at Cherbourg to the ship. That was the start of an adventurous life, as she played a part in WW One and Two, carried many famous people to the great trans-Atlantic liners, became a floating restaurant in Paris and was saved from being scrapped by the people of Belfast. Now completely refurbished as a visitor attraction, you can walk in the footsteps of history, learn her story, and become part of the new chapter of her dramatic existence.

As we were the only ones on the tour, we had Maggie, our guide, to ourselves.

She was a mine of information & gave a fantastic insight into how the class system worked, even on board the ship that ferried passengers to the Titanic.

It's amazing that so much of the original carved wood & other fittings have survived & as they are exactly the same as were on the Titanic, it gave a real feel of that wonderful ship. Would recommend unreservedly.

The docents were very informative and their passionate presentation helped to bring the ship alive. A well done restoration and well worth a few hours.

This needs to be visited after the Titanic Experience I think. Possibly not on the same day though as it would be too much.

We spent three fascinating hours on this priceless time capsule. Our excellent guide Tom Reid gave us a most enjoyable tour, then as he suggested we went round again taking time for all the exhibits and photographs. It's not expensive for the last White Star ship in the world, built alongside and for the Titanic, and besides it's worth a few £££s to sit where the Rockefellers and Astors sat a century before you but without the tragic sequel. Don't miss the original Edwardian loos with thrones by Mr. Crapper! My only criticism is that the Titanic Centre alongside should promote the Nomadic experience, it is not to be missed.

If you are interested in Titanic and have visited the centre then be sure not to miss the SS Nomadic to round off a memorable trip down memory lane. Very interesting exhibits and well lead out. You can spend time just looking around as well as the tour.
