Owner description: The SS Nomadic is known as Titanic's little sister. Built at the same time, by the same people, in the same Harland and Wolff shipyard as Titanic, Nomadic brought those boarding the great liner at Cherbourg to the ship. That was the start of an adventurous life, as she played a part in WW One and Two, carried many famous people to the great trans-Atlantic liners, became a floating restaurant in Paris and was saved from being scrapped by the people of Belfast. Now completely refurbished as a visitor attraction, you can walk in the footsteps of history, learn her story, and become part of the new chapter of her dramatic existence.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2014

We did the tour this morning and really enjoyed it. The tour guide was fantastic and showed us around the boat while explaining the history of the ship. It was lovely to see the restored boat, and also hear about its history. There are many interactive features, and you are given free time to explore yourself after the guided tour. Would definitely recommend.

“What a lovely example of Belfast craftsmanship!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

Having previously seen the Nomadic in the state in which it was recovered from Paris, and in need of complete restoration, it was lovely to revisit it now that it has been completely restored. The original craftsmanship and that of the replacements was lovely to see.
The tour was very interesting and took about an hour. To get more out of the visit we would have needed at least another hour to read the panels and view the photos etc. As the only remaining White Star vessel surviving in the world (our excellent and very knowledgeable guide told us) it is an important part of history and especially Belfast history, and of course its links to the Titanic give it an impressive pedigree. The ship's history in its several lives was also very interesting.

I definitely recommend a visit, and a walk around the dock too.

“Definitely worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2014

This ship definitely worth a visit but not because it was a "prototype" for Titanic, rather for its' history that is quite more interesting and inspiring. Interactiveness of the tour is a really strong reason to visit it and if you are enjoying walking alone, with no guide, you can take an audio guide for extra £1.50.

“Informative tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

Tom the tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. It was a fascinating opportunity to get an insight into life on board for both crew and passengers. I must admit, I wasn't a massive fan of the holograms though.
