Owner description: The SS Nomadic is known as Titanic's little sister. Built at the same time, by the same people, in the same Harland and Wolff shipyard as Titanic, Nomadic brought those boarding the great liner at Cherbourg to the ship. That was the start of an adventurous life, as she played a part in WW One and Two, carried many famous people to the great trans-Atlantic liners, became a floating restaurant in Paris and was saved from being scrapped by the people of Belfast. Now completely refurbished as a visitor attraction, you can walk in the footsteps of history, learn her story, and become part of the new chapter of her dramatic existence.

There is a lot to say about this little boat. It has quite a history. The tourguides do a great job bringing it to life. They clearly like their jobs and are glad to take questions. The attraction is well handled, as it is very well restored and professionally handled. But it is also informal and very friendly. At no point do you feel processed as a tourist. You can wander at your leisure after the tour is over. I found an interactive computer video based on Titanic luggage that was recovered. It was well thought out, very simple, and looked great - and probably underused. The onboard toilets are authentic reproductions. Do use them. You'll feel really classy.

Visited on a Saturday.....as another reviewer said you would imagine you could get though it quickly but we had an excellent guide in Tracey who pitched the talk exactly right from probably a 7 year old to seniors in their 80s. We were probably there for an hour and a half. An amazing story and you felt you were walking in the steps of previous passengers. Beautiful restoration with the ability to interact as much as you like. Must be the best attraction in N Ireland by far.

This really is one of the highlights of a visit to Belfast. I completely agree with other reviewers that it doesn't look much from the outside but once on board you realise how much of interest there is to see. The ship has had a remarkable history, acting as a tender for the Titanic, carrying a range of famous people to minesweeping and finally before its rescue, a Parisian night club. I was amazed that so many original fittings had survived and that you were seeing things that would also have been on the Titanic (in some ways it is a mini version of same). The guided tour is fascinating and wandering around the ship at will after the tour enables you to see much more and revisit parts of the tour.

Myself and a friend visited here last month and really enjoyed it. It doesn't really seem like much on the outside but once inside the story of this ship, which had such an eventful history is brought to life. There is an interactive Gallery but most importantly knowledgeable and friendly staff; most notably Gale who is certainly one of the most passionate people about the Titanic I think you could ever meet and really brings the story of both the Titanic and the SS Nomadic to life.

The SS Nomadic doesn't look much from the outside, but the moment you step in you are transported to another time, the first class cabin is as it. Was when it was used to ferry first class passengers to Titanic, it even has original wood panelling, benches, tables. To think of the history and the people who have been aboard is amazing.
The tour guides are excellent and encourage you to go back around on your own and take photos, you even get the chance to dress up as a first class passenger or as a member of the crew!

If you have an interest in titanic or not this is a must do exhibition.
