Description: Storm in A Teacup Cafe / Storm Bistro offers a delicious breakfast, lunch and private dining option with BYO. Afternoon Tea available from £12.95, Children's parties at weekends are popular, and we love cyclists. We have 5 meeting rooms / business / family dining all of which can be booked at no cost. Our coffee, food, scones and pastries are second to none. We are housed in a beautiful granite building which was designed by renowned architect, Sir Arnold Thornley and built prior to parliament buildings on the hill. We are beside Carson's statue, walk down the hill towards the security hut and you will find us. Or drive up beside Campbell College to the very end of Massey Avenue. We await you.

“Perfect spot”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

Eventually visited this perfectly positioned cafe today for a Sunday brunch. Business was thriving and we watched several people being advised to come back later as it was full at 12:30 therefore booking recommended . Service and food were both excellent and thanks to Sean who waited on our table we were bowled over and left purchasing vouchers for afternoon tea for the Grannies for mothers day and were also shown around the private function room for a possible venue for a looming family 70th birthday.

“Somethings changed here!!”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

This place is at the back gates of Stormont where myself & friend regularly walk then head somewhere for cuppa (& scone) - defeating the walk!! So when it first opened we decided to give it a go rather than hopping into car & driving to coffee shop nearby as we usually did. However, having given it a go quite a few times we ended up getting back into our car & driving elsewhere as the food & service just weren't good & each time you came out feeling disappointed.

Well, somethings happened because now the food is def much nicer, beautifully presented & staff def know what they're doing - so whether it was teething problems Im not sure but would happily recommend a visit. Its sitting in an ideal location with beautiful walks in Stormont grounds so either before or after a dander (or both!!) call in & see for yourselves. Also, out the back they have water bowls and places to tie dogs up so in the better weather great place to walk dogs and then chill!

“Lunch and time out”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

Had a very nice work lunch here to say goodbye to a colleague. The food was all really lovely but for me the piece de resistance was the Americano. (Well 2 of them in the event). Really excellent coffee. Thoroughly happy with my lunch break so well done

“Delightful place for lunch”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

Heard of this place through a lady who attended "weight watchers" .... :-) of all places !!
Decided to call in one day when passing through the area, and although it is fairly small... they are very busy, but quick to serve. Food was delicious, and surroundings quite unique... if you are feeling energetic you can park at Stormont gates and walk up the long long drive and out to the restaurant through the side gate at the top of the hill.

Definately a place worth a visit.... and from what I could see... there were MANY there on repeat / regular visits.
