Quite busy early Thursday evening, in this airy basement setting. Pleasant, friendly waiter and maitre d', and prompt, but not rushed, service.
Delightful starters of terrine, also deep fried, shredded lamb, which was quite superb, somewhat reminiscent of Chinese style crispy duck.
Bavette steaks were beautifully done and presented, coming with galette potato, but surpassed by the fish special, pan-fried hake, with nicely stuffed thick courgette slices and dauphinoise potatoes.
Great desserts, and good wine list, predominantly French.
Great value, quality fare.
