Folklore restaurant can be a bit difficult to find, however the food, the outstanding service and the atmosphere make up for it!
The menu is full of familiar classics twisted into contemporary, somehow exotic adventures of Irish cusine. Go for the Irish Brie if you are a cheese fan. It is the best I have ever tried! Their breaded mushrooms are juicy and full of flavor, so are their mains: fresh fish, tender chicken. The relishes served with your food along with the seasoning transform traditional Irish dishes into a journey of contrasts and a real culinary experience.
Each of the tables on Folklore has been painted by a local artist, and they feature old Irish legends and newer milestones of the history of Belfast and of the whole green island. On the walls photographs of Belfast and plenty of information about what is going on in town.
Very attentive service, good size portions and affordable prices complete a highly pleasant restaurant experience. And if you don't want to go home after dinner, just walk downstairs and enjoy a drink in the pub! Chances are good that you get to listen live music.
