i queued for a long time to get in here because you normally have to reserve in advance. i didnt know it was a buffet restaurant. i had passed a big one next to it which i didn't fancy as i dont like food being kept warm in containers. anyway, there's an advert in reception that shows you have a choice of eating malaysian, thai, chinese, indian, italian and there may be more choices. i was seated and it's a big room up there. it's upstairs. but noone told me where the food was or what to do. so i just followed where others were going. i could find no trays with starters in them apart from soup and there were no soup plates or spoons out. it seemed to be basic chinese food and round the corner i found thai food and oppose it indian food. i don't know where the rest of the choices were. but i was disappointed at having no starters to try. i went for the only thing on offer with plates available beside them... tom yum soup. it was nice but i couldn't eat the prawns in it as they hadnt been shelled and i now that's the norm. i went up for yellow thai curry with chicken and fried rice. there was no boiled rice available which i would normally eat. both were nice but i didn't like the braised chicken. so i left it and went up for more rice and sauce. and that was my meal. a great big disappointment. i dont normally bother with desert but i went up for some since the rest was a disappointment and low and behold there was the starter trays being filled up finally with food. so i pinched a few mini pancake rolls which turned out to be tough and tasteless and a couple of crab claws which were also tasteless. so no loss there afterall. i enjoyed the chocolate gateau and melon... funny enough the only thing not cooked on the menu that i had. i cant understand why people queue to get into this place. it's not quality food or service and it's just got the taste and feel inside of a fast food restaurant. and here was me thinking i was going into a proper restaurant.

We visited as a large family group and were seated easily, although it was early lunch. Decent selection of food and nice surroundings.

having heard mixed reports about the place, me the wife and kiddies visited on sunday. amazed by varietie of food and service exellent. some dishes empty but with the amount of people eating there it must be hard to keep everything full. only annoyance was some food cold, but this was quickly dealt with by the man we think is the manager with blonde hair, having the food remade and brought to us within minutes. denise our server was in one word fabulous!! ......overall a very enjoyable visit, a few little things to iron out, but at the prices they charge and the variety on offer it'd be rude not to return.

We booked in advance which was a good job as it was very busy. The staff were very helpful and explained where everything was. The food stations were well stocked and even if there were food types you were not keen on, there were plenty of choices. It was very busy but still stations were filled freshly and the chefs cooked certain foods to order which was good. Even though this is a buffet, it is good quality and very well priced. As I said before, it was very busy which speaks for itself.

Our experience of the particular establishment is none, to say the very least. As a new business in the times of a recession - the management would be more than pleased that people actually want to visit here never mind pay for it. Every time we have phoned (no matter what time of the day) we have been spoken to extremely badly by the other individual (who I assume is actually employed) to be polite to a customer. Even when we have been unable to secure a booking - they do have a policy to have walk in's. However whenever we have tried to avail of this - we have been treated with such contempt - by the staff member with their little headset on - who are more interested in trying to look important and trendy rather than actually trying to accommodate customers - or perhaps just basic manners would be appreciated. My family and I even went to try to give Cosmo one last try - on Thursday 29th August 2013 at 2.15pm. On arrival we were greeted by a female at reception who proceeded to inform use that the restaurant closed at 3pm. thinking that 45 minutes was more than enough to have a quick bite to eat in what to be fair is quite nice surroundings - we informed her of so - only to witness her looking at her watch and telling us yet again but we close at 3pm. Yes we got that - in the time that she wasted telling us again and again and reusing to let us continue up the stairs it was 2.30pm. Still we thought 30 minutes not a problem. Again - this female member of staff proceeded to discuss the closing issue. By this time I was disgusted as she was rude, dismissive and just could not be bothered. This made me really angry - as We don't live in Belfast and thought this would be a hassle free visit. In the end we just left and went to the Buffet Chinese next door - Who actually wanted OUR money. They have the most polite staff and obviously want their business to survive. Whilst I was seated in the Chinese next door I witness at least 20 people had been turned away from the Cosmo at 2.30pm. Obviously Cosmo are making such a profit that they do not need our custom. Will be a long time before I would even consider ringing to book a table never mind visiting this place. If you want to feel spoken down to and not very valued as a customer - Crack on.
