my friend booked the hostel for me, so I was a bit worried (I'm a kind of control freak lol). But to be honnest he did a good job, the place is actually very good.
The location is okay. It's not right in the city center but it is to a walkable distance. It's just 10 min walk away from bars, pubs and Tesco/Spar.
The hostel is very new, so everthing is in very good condition and clean. The communal areas are the best I've seen in a hostel. Color full and very homie. you feel like you're sitting in your living room with your mates.
The kitchen has everything double (fridge, oven ..). Everybody picks up after themself, so it's very clean. I save up lots of money cooking and eating at the hostel.
Besides the breakfast is included (more saving made!). It's just toasts, cereal, tea or coffee, but it does the job.
The rooms are very basic. only 6 dorms, so the place is not over crowded.
I did not like the bed at all. I could feel the shape in the mattress of all the people who've slept in there before. and the bunk bed are made of metal , so everytime someone moves, you hear annoying noises. I was happy to find my bed after 2 nights in there!
The reception provide ear plugs if you want to (free of charge). The owner is a very cool guy. He is young and he lives on site,as well as the rest of the staff. As you see them around all the time, you feel like there with us. It was very cool.
there are 3 computers for internet access, and free wifi.
outside space for smokers.
And the best for the end : the Dog ! the owner has the cutest dog ever ! he doesn't bark and is very clean. He loves to play with the customers. He is almost the mascot of the hostel.
