Stayed here for a weekend. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Hotel is nice if a little far from Belfast. The hotel was very busy that weekend and staff managed fine. The bar food was tasty but could have had better presentation and was overpriced.

We had a large room with a good sized TV and plenty of channels. Comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. Plenty of cheap taxis available. Pleasant staff and nice reception area. The gym is run by LA fitness, so is very good indeed.

Stayed here on a business trip to Belfast and the hotel was quite nice. Room was very clean every day and the bed comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and the attached "Green Room" restaurant was great (see separate review). The food in the Suburbia bar is also good. I had fish and chips in the bar on my first evening as the main restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. The location was fine for me as the office I was visiting is relatively close but if you are staying here to visit Belfast city centre make sure you come by car as it is a long walk and public transport in the hotel is not good.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights with two grandchildren visiting from the USA in a family room. It worked very well for our needs as a base of operations from which to explore the city region and a good place to take a swim. We did not eat at the restaurant facilities which seemed a bit overpriced for families with kids but there is a large selection of alternatives available if you know where to go nearby (e.g. the thriving restaurant scene at Ballyhackamore three miles away, or the closer cafe's at the nicely designed "Supermac" shopping center). The management don't always steer guests to these places but they are generally very accommodating of special requests and unfailingly friendly. One of Belfast's newer dining options and a place that featured as backdrop to a recent political scandal - The Lock Keeper's Inn - is tucked away at the end of dead-end road next door. Once drivers learn the best way to exit from this hotel onto the adjacent Ring Road, especially to travel west, it is easy to get almost anywhere in the metro area with a car. Other than taxis and a hotel shuttle that requires pre-arranging, public transportation to the site is essentially non-existent. The Shaw's Bridge country park, which features nice riverside walks and a well-patronized canoe/kayak course with mild white water is a few hundred yards away, though not well signposted. Although the hotel lies under one of the main approach routes to Belfast City Airport the planes are high enough not to be a nuisance. A good addition to the Belfast hotel experience.

I paid 112 pounds B&B in a very bleak standard room. The hotel is drab and depressing and is obviously catering for the sales rep brigade. Also the Rooms arent AC'd which in the current weather is not good. No water in the room resulted in me having an extra 9 pounds on the room bill at the end.....and the auto light sensors in the corridors is just weird. Dinner was fine ( but expensive ). 29pounds for a sirloin steak ( cooked perfectly btw ) and two beers. This isnt london. But to give credit where its due - the Gym is really good. Its a fitness first branded gym and it has decent free weights, techno gym equipment and plenty of cardio options. Theres also a spin studio and 25m pool. For this alone I will probably stay in the hotel again.

Dear Mgbentour

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Ramada Plaza Belfast. We are dissappointed to hear that you where not pleased with some aspects of your stay. We take your feedback on board and appreciate your comments. However i would like to say we do have various room types from executive rooms to suites which we would of been more than happy to upgrade from a standard room if you where not happy with your standard room. Also we do have aircons in all of our rooms which is a divice on the wall which can be controlled by the guest, also we provide water in our executive rooms, and could of been arranged easily by request.
You mentioned our LA Fitness which we are delighted that you found the gym really good, we are glad you had the opportunity to try it out during your stay. We do hope you found some aspects that made your stay enjoyable and do hope we can get the chance to welcome you back to The Ramada Plaza Belfast in the near future.

Kind Regards

Stayed two nights in the hotel last week beginning our stay on a Sunday night. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Reception staff very friendly and knowledgable about the local area. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was top class. Restaurant staff very courteous and friendly. The hotel has an on site nail salon and hair dresser as well as a spa. The hotel is ideally situated beside the Lagan Valley Regional Park which boasts beautiful walking paths. My only issue with the hotel was that arriving at 5.30pm on Sunday, we were unable to use the leisure facilities which closed at 6pm. The leisure facilities are great, layout well thought out and very clean. We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it.

I slept here for a night with the family. We arrived here around midnight couple of days ago and asked the reception for restaurants outside. They stated that only mcdonalds will be open at the time, but we went out drove around and found many restaurants/takeaways open at that time. so the reception clearly needs bit more knowledge. But the lads were very friendly etc, so no complain definitely.

Went to swimming pool next day, helped by lady called Carol who was very friendly. Overall, the hotel was good and recommended.

Room Tip: all is okay here

Dear Mohi

Thank you for posting your review during your recent stay at The Ramada Plaza. We do hope you and your family found the hotel comfortable and had time to avail of some of our facilities the next day before leaving. We appreciate you arrived around midnight to the hotel and with being a public holiday in the North, most main restaurants at midnight in town would most likely be closed, but would have the option of our fast food restaurants.or takaways to choose from at this time of night. Thank you for your kind comments on the friendly staff and are delighted that you found the hotel overall good and would recommend us lovely to hear.
We lookforward to welcoming you back to The Ramada Plaza in the near future.
