Bistro Este has moved to the heart of Ballyhackamore and a very positive note for Ballyhackamore to have a chef dedicated to offering something a bit more up market and creative for the area.
The floor space and atmosphere in the restaurant is stunning. The sky light in the ceiling makes for a really light airy room where you are able to soak up the atmosphere at your leisure. The menu is adventurous I had crubeens and lobster thermidor last night, on their second night of opening.
The front of house staff are friendly and accommodating. I was in at 6pm on the dot as they opened and as I left at 7-30pm the place was filling up nicely. From the conversations easily heard by staff on the phone, they were full up for Saturday so it all looks positive for the new venture.
I wish David and his wife the best.
