Owner description: The Titanic Belfast visitor attraction extends over nine galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition. Drawing together special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features you will explore the Titanic story in a fresh and insightful way from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise. The journey goes beyond the aftermath of the sinking, to the discovery of the wreck and continues into the present day in the Ocean Exploration Centre.

“Must do!”

This was the main reason I wanted to visit Belfast and it didn't disappoint! I really enjoyed myself! I was a bit worried there would be a lot of focus on the sinking of the ship but there was so much more about the shipping industry and how the ship was originally built. If you do get a chance ask questions because there are people stood around and they do know sooooo much! It's a shame they are not used more within the museum because it would make it a bit more interactive. My one side note is that if you do go don't bother with audio guides, every thing that is said on them is written around the museum and some times you can get a bit lost listening to them rather than taking in what is actually there.

“Thought provoking”

Take time to experience this exceptional presentation. It tells the story of the background and building of the Titanic. Don't go if you only want to hear about the disaster, there is a much wider story to be told.

I was looking forward to this so called NEW AND BEST exciting attraction in belfast. To be brutally honest it was a complete waste of money, as I found the whole experience totaly boring. Of course I have seen the film as many people have, but this so called attraction was full of photos that you could upload from your computer ? For me the admission was not worth the money ? And the millions of pounds spent on this attraction was money wasted ? Even if the admission was FREE I would still say to anyone, dont waste your time or effort to go and see this very poor attraction.

“An amazing museum”

Museum is not really a good way to describe this place. It's much more than that really. Book in advance and give yourself lots of time to go around. For anyone remotely interested in the Titanic story, shipping in past times and/or Belfast's history this is an absolutely perfect way to spend an afternoon. There is a bit of reading to be done, it's true, but if you prefer not to read every word there's lots of visual information too. The start of the tour is guided, and then you are left to go at your own pace. We've been four times and will go back again, as there is so much to see there. This place really brings the whole Belfast/Titanic story to life. Real people, real stories and lots of information. By far it is among the best attractions we have visited anywhere in the world, and we have travelled extensively for many years. I'm proud of this place. It's not a "theme park", it's a serious insight into the life of the times. You must go there, if you're a visitor or even - especially, I might say - if you live in Northern Ireland. You'll come away feeling uplifted, informed, sad and proud. There are restaurants and a huge gift shop too, making this an exceptional day out at reasonable cost.
