Owner description: The Titanic Belfast visitor attraction extends over nine galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition. Drawing together special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features you will explore the Titanic story in a fresh and insightful way from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise. The journey goes beyond the aftermath of the sinking, to the discovery of the wreck and continues into the present day in the Ocean Exploration Centre.

“Brilliant day out”

We would recommend a trip to this exhibit. The building is stunning externally. The interactive museum takes you through the history of Belfast as well as the Titanic. We particularly enjoyed the ride round the construction of the hull. It was disappointing not to see the reconstruction of the grand staircase but it is still a fantastic experience.

“Great experience”

Very interesting and diversified exhibition. Was way better than expected. Also good with kids. A bit expensive but worth going. The dockyard is a 15 mins walk away and not too exciting.

“Enjoyable, but incredibly costly”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

The tour itself was very good, quite humbling and seeing the old industrial Belfast was very interesting. However, i would advise people to eat well before visitng it, as half way through the tour we went to get something to eat in Bistro 401 which is located on the ground floor, and was so taken aback that it was £10 for 2 sausage rolls. I immedaitely asked them to cancel this as there was no way I would pay £10 for 2 sausage rolls. Was told they came with salad, but that didn't persude me to pay the price!! £2.50 for a small bottle of Diet Coke also. Aimed at the American and English market who as tourists won't mind paying the prices. Did sour the experience slightly. Otherwise, it was very good.

“Excellent in all ways”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Not sure what you call this place, more than a museum, more than an exhibition and 'experience' sounds naff. Building is fascinating, the various ways the information about the Titanic is presented are all good and is engaging for all ages (have 3,6, and 8 year old). Ride in middle was a surprise and a nice one. I want to go again, much I missed. Sets the standard for museums/exhibitions I think.

“Excellent experience”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I visited with a group of five friends in February 2013. The building is striking and the exhibition itself is fascinating. We spent about three hours inside and found the content very good. Even though the place wasn't running at capacity it was very busy and that made viewing some displays a lengthy process. give yourself more time if it's very busy! We used the internal catering facilities twice and found them to be good value. Overall it was a good experience with friendly helpful staff and no feeling of being rushed through. We left the external walk around the slipway until after out trip through the experience building. That was useful as it shuts at 5 pm in February. There was no time to visit the dry dock and the pumphouse. I'd use a full day if I have the opportunity to visit again.
