“A great place to stay!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012 via mobile

I stayed at the Old Rectory for two nights from 10th October and I had a great stay - Mary was incredibly helpful, the room was cosy & modern, and the b&b was right beside a bus route that can take you straight into the city centre.
Mary helped out with loads of advice about activities and sightseeing trips that were on offer in Belfast. My top tip would be to make sure you go to the city hall for a free tour - absolutely fantastic!

Very comfortable room, clean and with a well appointed ensuite. Mary could not have been more hospitable and very helpful in reccommending local restaurants, bus routes and what to see and do being our first trip to Ireland. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. It was the best we have ever had in similar hotels. It's easy to see why they were given such high awards for it.

Room Tip: if stairs are a challenge ask for a room on the first level. Ours was 2 flights up and a bit hard wi...

As per our previous experience we have nothing but praise for The Old Rectory. We stayed three nights and as always, enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. Our bedroom was welcoming and very comfortable. Thank you, Mary and Gerry - our hosts- for creating such warmth and friendliness, while maintaining respect for our privacy. It is a gem and we shall be back.

This is one of the nicest b & b's I have ever stayed in. The house is a renovated Victorian rectory. Most of the period details have been retained and the house is very tastefully decorated throughout including the rooms. My room was nicely turned out as well as the ensuite bathroom. My room included a number amenities that you would expect find in a first class hotel and not a b& b. The hosts are very congenial and accomodating. The breakfasts were gourmet in quality. One morning I had baked egss topped with confit of duck!!! It was incredible. I stayed for three days and would definitely return again. It is located in an upscale section of Belfast: Malone Road. It is a little bit out of the center of town. However, the Queen's Quarter is very near and there are several buses which go to the center of town that stop right at the front door. I heartily recommend this guesthouse. Many thanks to the owners for helping to make my stay in Belfast so nice.

I am SO glad I stayed here - everything about this place was excellent. The decor is impressive; my room was large and airy; the bathroom (down the hall, but private to me) was three times the size of some others I'd had; breakfast was yummy; location was very good - on a busy street, but I couldn't hear the traffic at all at night, and bus service into the downtown core was very good. Free internet, which was much appreciated; all sorts of little touches that made it unique and very cosy. I would gladly stay there again.

Stunning breakfast whatever was chosen from the wide ranging options. The room was a home from home with the most comfortable bed imaginable. The location is convenient with or without a car as a frequent bus stop into town is outside the gate. However the best thing about this superb B and B is the outstanding hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble, whether it is the food or advice about the city or surrounding area. A really great break.

We stayed at the Old Rectory on our first night in Ireland. Despite the jet lag. we really enjoyed the beautiful home, the spacious room and Mary/s hospitality. The breakfast was wonderful. The wifi only worked in the public areas but that was ok.
I would highy recommend the Old Rectory to anyone visiting Belfast. It is charming,
