The "Wellie" is an excellent convention hotel. It has many function rooms of varying sizes.
It's not the newest if hotels and shows signs of wear and tear but everything appeared to be clean.
The bedroom and bathroom were well appointed and clean. We were on the ground floor behind reception. There was a little bit of traffic noise but not much. We weren't comfortable leaving our window open as the security latch didn't seem that great. Other than that the room was great.
The hotel is a little out of the centre of town but the bus only takes 5 mins and a day pass can be bought under £4. It's also well situated for the University and surrounded by lots of restaurants.
Breakfast had the option of an Irish cooked breakfast, cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, various fruit juices, tea and coffee. In other words there was a lot to choose from!
We stayed Thurs-Monday. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive.
Can't wait to return next year.
