Visited w5 winter wonderland yesterday. Was great day and you weren't rushed through Santa. My only complaint is the price of the photo. ........ £10is quite steep I feel after already paying £5 in to see Santa. Granted the presents are good quality. I wasn't the only one shocked at the price as many walked off without their photo.

Great for kids to get to grips with science and other natural attractions. Visit the Titanic experience close by also.

This is a superb gem of a place for young families. I have 4 children aged 14, 10, 9 and 6 and they were completely in awe of this place. There are multiple levels of educational exhibits with different themes on each floor level; nature, science, transport and others which are mostly interactive. The staff also have mini demonstrations/shows and get the children involved/engaged in a hands on way. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. You only pay an entrance fee and you can spend the day there from 10am to 6pm and believe me when I say the time flies and is not long enough for the children (Maybe that's just mine) For our family of 2 adults and 4 children it cost £36 and if we wanted to, we could have left the exhibitions and returned later with our ticket valid for re-entry on the day.

There was also a climb-it frame which went from the ground floor up to the roof 4 floors above and children from the age of toddler right up to teens could climb it completely safe and secure and there were different routes they could take which was a great thrill for them

My kids are 7 & 6, and so I try to include some kids entertainment on every trip, and in this case when we were in Belfast we went to W5, and I must say it was superb. The kids will still refer to it as one of their highlights from our trip to the UK.

It has enough of everything for kids of all ages, and is big enough that the exhibits are nicely spread out across several floors. There are also interactive demonstrations with great presenters, which the kids also loved. The staff are also very helpful from the entrance throughout the facility, which just adds to the enjoyment of the place.

One could easily spend a day at W5, although we spent half a day there, which was enough to spend a reasonable amount of time on each floor and in each section. If you really do go through all the various activities, then a day is required. They also have some seasonal exhibits, and we were there when they had a sports exhibition, which my son loved. You were able to take penalties (football & rugby), shoot basketball hoops, etc. in an interactive zone.

We were also lucky in that we got in quite early, and managed to get around to quite a bit, before some schools came through, which made access to some exhibits far more challenging. I can imagine it may not be as enjoyable if you were visiting at the same time as a bunch of schools.

The only (small) downside is that is a little expensive, but it is very worthwhile and I would recommend very highly.

We've done days like this a lot especially in the states and where looking forward to seeing how W5 rated.

Speed of entry was a little slow with very helpful staff over delivering information that's provided on a map that's given with your tickets. This delayed us and others.

The layout is very efficient and well designed as is the facility in full. We explored and experienced all elements that where on offer and also had the opportunity to try the wonderland express. This is a small electric train journey that lasts a couple of minutes. Some technical problems on the day but the kids really enjoyed it.

The layout allows people to find something for all ages and an opportunity to try all activities.

We didn't bring a picnic bag with us and used the onsite facilities for sandwiches, sausage rolls (impressive) and drinks and treats. Food was excellent but do think if you wanted to keep your costs down, bring some packed lunches is a really great option and seems to be so welcomed and facilitated.

Overall a great morning, great use of space, friendly staff and excellent views of Belfast and the Titanic quarter.
