“amazing history”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

I came on this building by chance, the history is fasinating, considering this building has been under threat so many times in it's history, it's a wonder it survived, well worth a visit.

“Home of rock”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

All the best rock gigs happen in the Ulster Hall. Small and intimate enough for the rock fan to get up close to the band. City centre location makes it easy to get a bus home afterwards.

“A Beautiful Hall”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

The Ulster hall is fabulous! Situated right in the heart of Belfast city. The lady who gave us the tour ( which is free ) was very good and added wee bits of her own memories of the hall. The history of this building is very interesting. It was used a a dance hall during WWll and has seen loads of fantastic bands, entertainers and speakers including Charles Dickens and the Rolling Stones. It was also used for the boxing and had plenty of well known boxers there including Barry McQuigan. The Organ is magnificent to say the least and takes at least 6 months to clean every part. An amazing sight to see!. The paintings were very interesting as was the old Belfast black and white photographs.
Free and worth a look if your in the city.

“What friendly staff”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

I called in when the hall was closed to ask whether I could get a look at the organ pipes. Yes certainly was the friendly reply from the lady in the box office. Well Done!
