But not where I would go to dinner otherwise. Teh "castle" is simply a banquet facility but the gardens are great and the rooms adequate for functions.

Very informative. Schedule to meet a representative before you arrive if you'd like to speak with those who are best able to inform on the current political situation

Stormont Castle in Belfast is arguably the most impressive piece of architecture in Belfast.
Built in a similar architectural style to Buckingham Palace and Stockholm Palace, Stormont Castle is the seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly and the Northern Ireland Executive.
The grounds surrounding Stormont are also vast, pristine and beautiful and well worth an hour or two to walk about the property.
Highly recommended.

The beautiful and expansive grounds in this part of East Belfast provides a magnificent setting for the meeting place of the current Northern Irish Assembly - and until the introduction of a period of direct rule, the old NI Parliament. Close by, but shrouded within a wood, is the castle. It's a delightful place to visit, to walk or stroll through - particularly on a spring day.
