I have a confession. I used to walk through the park every day on the way to college. Things haven't changed much in those years and I like it. Check out the Ulster Museum and the Botanic House itself for some extraordinary artefacts of natural history and nature. Check out the summer listings also, there are always things going on in the park.

this place is so peaceful its hard to believe its in the middle of a city. theres the tropical ravine, palm house, rose garden, and a lovely park to walk round and its right next to the ulster museum. visit both on the same day like we did and have lunch in the museum cafe. a great day out.

Large gardens which link Botanic avenue with Stranmillis road and Malone Road. There is also quite a few people walking or just sitting reading a book. Popular with Queens University students during exam time!

The Botanic Gardens is a park that has within in it 2 greenhouses - the Palm House and the Tropical Ravine - and the Ulster Museum, which is fantastic. It is next to Queens University,

The rose garden was much larger than I anticipated, and the Palm House was very interesting. We visited on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and the park was packed with locals just enjoying the sun with friends. We had fun just people watching!
