“An oasis of peace and beauty”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

I love the Botanic Gardens. Even in winter there is plenty to say, and flowers in bud-- in January we have seen snowdrops, and rhododendrons, buds on the azaleas and so much. Ore. Visit the large greenhouse mid winter for a perfumed warm scene of multi colored beauty-- the glass pavilion is lined on one wing with daffodils, hyacinth, narcissus in full bloom.. While there do visit the wonderful Ulster Museum. Be aware that the gardens close at dark so get there early.

“A place for nature lovers”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

Went here when the weather was not that good (it was rainy), so I didn't really appreciate the whole garden so much. I went inside the greenhouse garden, and felt a little claustrophobic by the tight space. This is a place suited for nature lovers. You'd often see squirrels running around even by the side of the road! You'd appreciate the wonderful colors of nature, from the colors of the leaves and flowers. I wish I had more time to walk around this place.

“Nice”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

If you are interested in plants and botany then you will like it. It has a good mix. It was also lovely and warm inside which was a nice break from walking around outside in the winter cold.

“Victoriana glazing”
Reviewed December 20, 2013 via mobile

What wonderful glasshouses.the palm house. The tropical ravine. The conservetory against the wall. There was one the same in Glenmachin house grounds owned by some of Euart family circle, but now long gone.
This touch of victoriana in a very modern Belfast is so refreshing.
The japanese garden , slightly suncken the plants from around the world , some so common now but once bringing far off places visited by explorers only home to the populace of Belfast.
See majestic red sequoia .korean pine and canadian maple.search hard ,they will be found!
