“Shame about broken glass and excrement!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

I feel bad saying anything negative about this place as it's so beautiful and the staff work so hard but when the weather's nice the students go in there and leave rubbish all over the place which the staff have to clean up, not to mention the broken glass and excrement in the bushes which my dogs always manage to find! Security would be a good thing here, not just the police turning up randomly to drive through the park to chase away the young ones and as soon as the police leave the park they come straight back in again. More needs to be done to help the staff at Botanic as they make the place so beautiful, hats off to them for having to put up with all those so called educated young ones!

“Lovely Stroll”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

The rose garden, tropical ravine and palm house are things you must see.

We even did a little lawn bowling since the weather was so fine.

We broke up our tour of the Gardens by eating at the Ulster Museum, and toured the museum when it started to drizzle.

Highly recommend an entire afternoon here.

“Totally Relaxing”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Botanic Gardens is a beautiful park that is open to the public free of charge. You can walk your dog and look at the amazing flowers and plants. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax and enjoy the park!

“nice place in town”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Friends are living right by it, and in the evenings you hear birds singing despite being in the city. The walk all around is a very good one, nice enough to cycle, walk the dog or do both. It hosts numerous attractions throughout the year, making it a really good park. The conservatories are well-worth a visit, as they have exotic plants and flowers. Many would sunbath there in the summer (with an ice-cream stroller waiting for you who wouldn't). During university, many would play in the grounds. The roseray is lovely for a romantic walk.
