“small but near things”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

the gardens aren't very big or exciting, but pair them with a walk by the Queens University, a visit to the Ulster museum etc and you have a day/half day. the area is worth doing.

“beautiful place”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

I love botanic gardens its beaut. In the summer the main green is a bit like festival grounds- there are so many people but have a walk around the stream and you can always find a quiet corner somewhere. Best parts - the tropical ravine is my fave!! Botanic is small but there are lots of interesting parts if you explore

“Great for walks!”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Great fun for walks with family/ friends/ and dogs. Great place for all ages and its brillant to go in the summer too. The Tropical Ravine and Palm House are beautiful places to visit while you're there too. Definitely recommend for artists and photographers.

“A very nice morning stroll”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

A lovely place to take a stroll on a sunny day (that's the hard part to get). The palm building is simply beautiful, from the inside you can see a lot of different plant species but basically you can "inhale" the different species. From the outside you have some benches were you can see some plates the honer the life of some people who enjoyed the park, I believe this a beautiful way to honor some one. It is wonderful to take a nice walk and you can go to the Ulster museum if the weather suddenly changes.

“Nice for a Sunday afternoon”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Lovely in the summer. Especially for a picnic or icecream. They sometimes have things on here. The hot house is great if you like plants. Its right beside the museum too so great for spending a few hours.
