Travelodge Belfast Central

The Travelodge Belfast is not up to the usual standard of other Travelodge hotels. It cost £99 for one Saturday night stay plus an extra £10 to check in early to drop bags off (there is no free baggage storage). The bathroom was filthy (see photos). The noise from the nightclub across the street will ensure you do not get a good night's sleep.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Travelodge. Was a bit apprehensive about our stay due to previous reviews i had read, however was pleasantly suprised. Our room was basic, but was clean and was suitable enough for our weekend stay.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also clean, although i did find the shower a bit difficult to work as you have to turn the taps backwards for the shower to come on, and the flush for the toilet was also the wrong way round, however this is Ireland so what can you expect lol! Only real complaint was that the view from our room was not that impressive as we were facing onto a high brick wall, so no daylight really got into the room. Reception staff were pleasant and helpfull also.

Overall we would stay here again for a weekend and would highly reccomend for a short stay break.

Stayed in this place as a last minute thing as I had a work event to attend - this is the worst hotel I have ever set foot into.

The place smells from the lobby to the lift to the room. The rooms are tiny, the linen is dirty, the floors are filthy, the toilets are minute and in need of a revamp.

Avoid this place like the plague - it is dire.

If you are looking for a very very basic hotel close to belfast city centre then this is for you if you are not looking for basic book elsewhere!
Hotel is old, and has a strange smell about it all over, room was tiny, cold, smelly and the bed was uncomfortable with very flat pillows. The bathroom was clean but looked dirty and smelt of sewers, the walls are very thin so you can here everything especiall the stag party which kept us up until 4am!
On the up side though it is close to city centre to stagger back to.

Never again! I don't mind basic hotels and this hotel is very basic but it was the smells and poor service that legt it down and it was 89sterling a room aswell which is way too much for what you get.. Location is good but that is as far as the complements can go. Check in took forever, decor bad and then my room smelt badly of smoke but worse again my friend''s room had a horrendous smell of sewage. The pillows were the thinnest i have ever seen! The air conditioning was very loud and inadequate as the rooms were very stuffy. And the bar across the road kept the hotel guests awake till 3 am with blaring music and noise.
And then there was the breakfast! Self service which was fine but there was no bowls, no cutlery no glasses etc. Basic food which was ok but the waiting staff were awful. Faulty towers had nothing on this place.
On checkout we reported the smells etc but were told we were on the 7th floor so to expect backflow from the drains!!!! Hmmm.
So basically don't waste your money here. i have stayed in travellodges in cork and aberdeen before and they were far superior...this one just left alot to be desired.

Stayed here for a few nights with my friend - the hotel is in a very central location, it is near to the bus station which is ideal if you are connecting to there from the airport. It isn't too far to walk with your suitcase! It is within walking distance of the whole city, in easy reach of shopping, the river and Odyssey arena.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nice girls. We didn't eat breakfast in at the hotel although we did have a nice lunch at the restaurant adjoining the hotel, the food was great.

For us the hotel was just somewhere to sleep and shower, and so it fitted the bill for us. It was not that expensive and I would recommend it as a budget hotel if you are there for the weekend and just need a base & somewhere to sleep!

This hotel is basic, as most travelodges tend to be but is perfect for anyone who wishes to spend a weekend in Belfast.
The location of the hotel is its greatest attraction. It is located in the heart of Belfast city and only a short walk from the train station. (There is a free bus from the station to the centre of the city if you aren't up for the walk.)
Yes, the bar across the road is loud but if you want to stay in the heart of a city you sometimes have to put up with noise. It's certainly not loud enough to keep you up all night.
The staff were very friendly and there is a very pleasant bar is you fancy a night cap. Alternatively they will sell you a bottle of wine to bring to your room.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was absolutely perfect for a short stay.
This a basic, clean, centrally located hotel and does not deserve the bad reviews it has received on this website!
