Seen some bad reviews so was a bit iffy about staying there but it is a lovely hotel the area is good and safe. The staff are really good and friendly and the girl behind the desk Amanda I think was brilliant very helpful and went or of her way to help us. It was value for money.

I am very disappointed in the so called 'make over' at the Lansdowne Hotel.
It should be our 'local' but I will not be back.
I have eaten there on three occasions recently and found the standards reasonable and value for money however the experience was overshadowed by the stench of the ladies toilets. The toilets behind the reception area was foul smelling on each occasion and the toilets at the far end of the dining room had not been cleaned properly, had no soap or toilet roll at 12 midday.Following a family meal the waitress proceeded to clean the neighbouring tables with an overpowering disinfectant spoiling what had been a lovely occasion.
The staff were mostly very professional except one male member of staff who served our table with a crumpled shirt and and a badly stained tie.
Come on Metro Inns the people of the Antrim Road deserve better than this.

I stayed in the lansdowne for 2 weeks and i could not have been happier. The staff were so frendly towards me and always seemed to make time. I would like to say a big thank you to the two ladys Kelly and Sylia behind reception didn't matter what i asked they would always make time for me, even when they were busy. I,ve stayed in a lot of hotels due to my job and i can truly say that these two ladys are one of best receptionist i've come across a true credit to the Landsdowne

It seems that the Landsdown had a terrible reputation in the past, however since being taken over in January 2013 the new owners are trying to redress some of the issues of the past. In saying that, they still have a little way to go to reach their full potential, mainly in the area of repairs and refurbishment of the bedrooms and bathrooms.housekeeping needs to be tightened up ie they ran out of soap and couldn't offer us any for three days! And large ceiling tiles were missing in the bathroom and grouting dirty in the bathroom tiles it's the little things that let this hotel down. On the positive side staff are very friendly and helpful atmosphere good and food very good.I have stopped here twice and for a budget hotel it is fine and I hope to return again soon.

Room Tip: There isn't a fitness centre,as indicated above, rooms at the back could be quieter.

This was our first visit to Belfast and decided to stay here because of its handy location to the City Centre (less than 10 mins on the bus). We were warmly welcomed in Reception on arrival and was checked in and in our room in less than 5 mins! The room was spacious, clean with a 42" flat screen TV on the wall. Tea/Coffee with biscuits was supplied as was an iron & ironing board. The ensuite was clean with ample towels on hand. Hotel facilties were great, good menus for breakfast and lunch. Dinner choices included steak/chicken/duck with all the trimmings along with other options to suit any taste. Extra effort is put into Sunday lunches, which is carvery ( i had the roast beef which was "melt in your mouth" - delicious!) there were 4 tasty choices for dessert ( I had 2) - staff went out of their way to make sure you were looked after well and wanted for nothing. The lounge area has a nice buzz with locals and visitors mixing and chatting alike. There is a large beer garden to sit in (weather prevailing) and also a smoking area. I would recommend this hotel for its rooms, tasty food and location to the city centre - £5/£6 in a taxi brings you to lively pubs/entertainment in the centre of town. How handy is that!

You get what you pay for! We stayed in a triple room (2adults and a 7 year old) which was clean and spacious. Bathroom was a bit mildewy but otherwise clean. Good hotel facilities. Reasonable breakfast. Only negative is the live music (saturday night) until about 1am so bring your ear plugs if you want to sleep before then. At £75 incl breakfast for the night its good value for money.

Room Tip: If staying when there's live music and you'd like to get to sleep before 1am, I would reques...

I decided to stay in this hotel because I had a wedding to attend in the area. I didn't expect much for what I paid, just expected a descent B&B for the night. But for a hotel in Belfast the standard was awful. The room was old and dated, but you could put up with that for one night if the room was clean, but this room was not clean and the bath room had hairs all over it and looked like it wasn't cleaned at all.
I decided to have something to eat in the bar before attending the wedding, and I would not recommend the bar either for food or drink as the staff were so unfriendly and had no interest in serving me the food.
As I said I didn't expect much for £50, but the standard in the hotel is awful. I would never stay again in this hotel.
