“Lovely place to stay in Belfast!”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

A very nice place to stay in Belfast! The rooms were comfortable and spacious and super clean. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was great! We had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend Maranatha Guest House!

An outstanding B&B.

I was working in Belfast for 3 days and stayed here and had a very enjoyable stay. No complaints at all. The room was big and really clean. The bed was comfortable, as were my nights’ sleep and the bathroom was spotless. The shower was first-rate, good pressure and nice and hot.

Marian is terrific. Extremely welcoming and a genuinely warm-hearted lady who couldn't do enough to make sure everything was ok. Her breakfasts are legendary.

If you’re looking for desirable quality in a B&B then look no further. A top quality place which I would recommend without hesitation!

Thanks Marian.

We travelled to Belfast to visit the Titanic quarter. Marian very kindly came to direct us when we got slightly lost with Google-maps limited directions. She also provided a good tip on pre-paid parking at the Odyssey which gave us 6hrs of parking for £3.20. Our 10yr old son was a bit disappointed with the breakfast as choice of cereal was more suited to adults; ours was quite good and the service was very friendly and attentive. Stronger coffee would be nice. The room , at the front of B&B was comfy if a bit noisy as alot of traffic.
We found a lovely restaurant, "Shed ", on the Ormeau Rd which has very tasty food, friendly staff and very good value.

My dad and I stayed here for a long weekend. It is a very nice B&B, with lovely staff. The rooms are very comfortable and breakfast is very nice as well. About a 15 minute walk into the centre of Belfast but we didn't mind. Would definitely stay again.

A return to the Maranatha where we have stayed before as well as a number of our family members. The bedrooms are spacious with big wardrobes (you could walk into ours - Room 4) and other storage space too. The en-suite shower room and toilet is also spacious. Our room overlooked the Ravenhill Road but there was little traffic noise in the room. The beds are king-sized doubles. Breakfast is good in a spacious (it's all spacious!) dining room, and there is also a lounge with computer and printer (for printing those on-line boarding passes, etc.).
It is a walkable distance into the city centre for those who are a bit hardy, otherwise it is about a £5 taxi fare, even late in the evening. Parking for about half a dozen cars, if parked neatly, at the front of the house. The very pleasant Ormeau Park is directly across the road. It took us 20 minutes to drive to Belfast City Airport during Monday morning rush-hour (same as it would take a taxi) and it is about 30/40 minutes out to Belfast International depending on the time of day.
Bedrooms are lockable, and the two front doors are normally locked but you have keyed access at all times.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear are quieter, as are rooms on the second floor.
