For me, Tara lodge is a perfect non frills hotel with the odd frill thrown in for good measure. Centrally located, free parking, and free wifi the hotel is ideal for those who want a basic and very comfortable hotel stay in Belfast.

The premises and rooms are immaculately clean! Check in/out was minimal, quick and simple..always a plus.

The bedroom is fitted with a small TV, wifi, a clean bath room with adequate toiletries, a few towels and iron/iron board…everything you need for a simple stay in Belfast.

What I really enjoyed about this hotel was the breakfast and the central location. Breakfast was fresh, cooked well and served with a smile with tea and coffee provided. The location is perfect and thanks to free parking you can walk to the city centre in around 15 minutes.

We stayed at the Tara Lodge for 3 nights and we highly commend the staff for the knowledge and professional approach to every single aspect of their service. Our room was in the attached building addition and upon our arrival -- everything was prepared in advance. The rooms seemed well oversized for the price and the bathroom was very large. The breakfast was perhaps the best we had during our 2-weeks in Ireland and the two gentlemen working in the dining room deserve the upmost recognition for their high quality work. The location is very convenient to downtown and their are coffee shops and other stores less then a 5 minute walk away. We were snowed in for 2-days of the visit and the city experienced rolling power outages but the friendly staff continued to assist in every way they could. We definitely suggest the Tara Lodge for anyone on their first visit to Belfast!

Room Tip: If you need access to an elevator ask to be put into the main building.

Stayed here over the Easter weekend and had an excellent weekend away. Our room was very clean, comfortable and lovely and warm.Lovely big shower with loads of hot water. The breakfasts are as good as they say! I loved the scrambled egg and smoked salmon. The staff are all friendly , helpful and efficient. It's in a good location close to the Botanical gardens. Thanks to all at Tara lodge for a lovely weekend away.

The staff were welcoming and helpful.

Room was modern, clean, comfortable and warm. Great bathroom (ie better than expected in this class of accommodation). The power shower was very powerful and hot.

Bright clean breakfast room and good breakfast with friendly service but no vegetarian/non pork option on the Ulster Fry. (This is a minor quibble as the smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and wheaten bread were very tasty).

Lovely hotel in a quiet location but close to lively places.
Good value

We stayed for two nights on our way back to England after staying in Dublin, and it is a very comfortable and very clean hotel, with nicely furnished and equipped modern rooms, and comfortable large beds. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, and there was a fine breakfast with a range of choices using locally produced food. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the centre (Belfast City Hall), and very close to the Botanic Gardens and the Ulster Museum in the University quarter, and there are a number of good eateries in the area. It's not too expensive either. Highly recommended.

Friendly receptionist welcomed us to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and very relaxing. Breakfast was home cooked and of a good standard. I would say this is a good base to explore Belfast.

Dear Wedeserveourbreaks

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Tara Lodge. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and found our accommodation clean, comfortable and relaxing. Indeed I'm pleased that Tara Lodge was a good base for your visit to Belfast.

In light of your very positive comments I am surprised and somewhat perturbed that you only scored us 3 stars out of 5. I would really appreciate if you would contact me at nora@taralodge.com to give me some further detail on your experience. Guest feedback is an invaluable way to improve our service but if we don’t know where we have gone wrong we can’t make the necessary changes!

Thanks again for taking the time.
