This was our first visit, and we will be back. The staff are friendly and were very helpful. On checking in I asked for a room change as I had made a mistake and booked à twin instead of à double. They moved me with no fuss. This has to be the cleanest hôtel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast choice puts some 5 Star hôtels to shame

My Dad and I visited Belfast recently - me for the first time ever and my Dad not since 1998. It was a special trip for us both - visiting family and places of my Dad's childhood. The welcome we got at the Tara Lodge really added to making this trip unforgettable for us. All the staff were so lovely. They took the time to be interested in my Dad and his journey. They helped out with travel directions and they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were so comfortable, spotlessly clean and with every convenience. The breakfast was delicious. My dad would recommend trying the porridge. We were two minutes away from bars and restaurants - we had such a good night in the Empire Bar - worth a visit for the live music on a Sunday evening. Thank you Tara Lodge - you made it for us.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel were quiet.

Lovely hotel in the very attractive Botanic Quarter...just a ten minute walk to the University and the Botanic Gardens. Lots of nice eating places and coffee shops on the doorstep. The room was of a very high standard, clean and comfortable. Great choice at breakfast and the porridge was excellent. Most importantly for me, the staff were friendly, helpful and very approachable. Highly recommended.

Just back yesterday from a 3 night stay at this excellant hotel. 10 minute walk from the city centre and we were there. First thing we noticed were the amount of great restuarants, bars and cafe bars on its doorstep. Hotel was getting renovated when we arrived and was bright and spotlessly clean. Room 28 in the annexe was decent size and very comfortable esp the bed. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty to choose from. Lastly my thanks to the staf who couldnt have been any more helpful nothing too much fuss. All in al a great stay and will return here on our next trip to belfast

We would not have considered staying here because of the location, but friends recommended it as did TripAdvisor. The room was small but well-furnished and the bed large and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the room was cold; we checked in at 3pm and were told that the heating did not come on until 5:30pm. Breakfast was amazing, particularly the porridge. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

I would stay at Tara Lodge again!!! They are doing a little renovating, so everything is looking fresh and new.
We arrived by train into Belfast Central and were able to walk to the Tara Lodge no problem. It's probably a 15 to 10 min walk but the scenery/City is lovely to walk around. The Tara Lodge us tucked away on a side street, just off a Main Street full of amazing bars and restaurants. Try the "Empire" for great live music, a few mins walk from Tara Lodge.
The staff at the Tara Lodge were lovely, and the rooms are very nice, we had a great room, in the Annex (Room 32) which had a bay window looking out over the street.
They had just finished their breakfast room and it, along with the breakfast was great, lots of choices, hot and cold.
We are definitely getting back to Belfast and this is where we will stay again.
Oh, bed and pillows were comfy and room was lovely and warm in the winter .
Thank you Tara Lodge Staff!!
