“Huge shake uo required!”

The Kings Head was always a great stop off for food but I dont know what has happened to the bar! Innatentive staff, 15 minutes for service and generally an air of 'we dont care!' i hope things pick up in the service department otherwise ot will be a long time before my custom returns!

“Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Got a great deal through Living Social for 2 starters, 2 mains and a glass of wine each,

It wasn't overly busy when we arrived at about 7.30pm which was nice, we were shown to a table right away and soon after our drinks order was taken, 2 glasses of rose wine, very nice.

We then ordered the soup and the hot chicken wings, which were lovely, especially the soup, we both decided on the chicken strips and homemade chips with the dip, both excellent.

The service was good even tho it looked understaffed, well done! they managed to keep everyone served in reasonalble time.

Would definetly be back, the food was good and reasonably priced, the menu had a good variety to choose from.

“Delicious & excellent value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

Had lunch here recently as part of a party of 8. Service was great and the waiters were very attentive. Not one complaint from any of us, portion sizes were large and food was very tasty. With 2 courses for £10, excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend for a tasty lunch.

“Food very bad, never again.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

We were a party of thirteen and not one of us enjoyed the food. The food was of very poor quality and a few of us had an acid and nauseous stomach afterwards. The bang bang chicken was terrible, it consisted of a few shredded bits of chicken covered in what just seemed to be peanut butter, it tasted like a bad satay sacue and a few of us sent it back. The pork belly was just all fat and no pork. The chicken strips were plastered in a thick heavy greasy batter which resulted in having a nauseous stomach. The beef was tough and all dried out.
So we all agreed that we will never be back, there are too many other really good quality restaurants to eat in than to put with such bad quality like this.
