When I arrived we were not welcomed in a respectful manner. The reception was very rude and unhelpful. I was told that our apartment was a five minute walk. My friend and I had a lot of luggage. We asked if we should take a taxi. The reception acted like she did not want to be bothered calling us a cab. She told us " well, it's just a short walk." Well, it was shortish but, with very rough roads. It was very difficult to make our way there (they never offered us help). now, I was told when I reserved the room that I could have early check in. This was not true and we were told to wait for an hour. When we did check in the room was very smelly. There was stale cigarette smoke in the air and the carpets were in old and in bad repair. Upon further inspection I found that the cable didn't work (it was not fixed even after I complained), the shower had very little hot water, and the beds were what you would find at a motel. After all the glowing reviews here, I was very disapointed. Well, that was not the worst of it. A few hours after our arrival we get a phone call from the management. Now, we had just had two of our friends over and were watching a DVD in the living room. We were not making any disturbance at all. I was very confused by the whole matter. She said that she has had some trouble in the hotel in the past and that they were very careful about who stays there. She asked me if my friends were men. I said that they were (I just couldn't believe my ears). now, believe me nothing was going on (but, even if there was.... what is this the 50's)? She said that she would like me to speak with the police. I told her that I would be totally fine with that and that I had nothing to hide (she never went through with this threat) . This phone call left me shocked, baffled and, well.... creeped out. We opted to check out. This is a bizarre place. From what I witnessed it is nowhere near what has been described by most of these reviews.
