I stayed at the Malone Lodge on business what should have been for 2 nights. My room was located directly over a noisy extractor, contacted reception who happily moved me to the front of the hotel. I decided to take a shower, only no water. Contacted reception again, they informed me there had been a burst earlier in the day and there would be no water for another couple of hours. It would of been nice to of been informed when checking in. Later that evening there was an awful droning noise coming from the front of the hotel. Reception moved me again after bursting in on an unsuspecting guest trying to sleep in his room. This room was a suite and much quieter until the person stopping next door used the toilet, which I was able to hear everything. This suite had very limited soundproofing if any. Unfortunately the hotel was unable to offer me a quieter room for the next evening so I checked out early.
My stay here was a complete disaster, I would definitely not return or advise this hotel to anyone.

I stayed with my boyfriend after booking a one night stay for £99 per person which included bed, breakfast, three course evening meal, bottle of wine, spa treatment at Northern Ireland Short Breaks website. For the excellent price, I wasn't expecting much but was pleasently surprised. The hotel is situated on Eglantine Avenue which is traditionally quite a studenty area of Belfast. But it was nice and quiet when we stayed. The room was lovely, quite small with a shower and no bath but cosy and well decorated. It was on the third floor and so had sloping ceilings and sky lights, which I felt added to the cosiness. The Green Door restaurant where we ate was absolutely fantastic - there was a set menu as part of our deal but a la carte is available. The bar staff were friendly and the residents lounge was nice but some of the seats were a little worn - i reckon more from cigarette ash rather than age. Bring on the smoking ban!

We stayed in apartment as a couple with our 2 yr son. The apartment was huge adequately decoratored but rather characterless. We just went for a weekend away and obviously because of the nipper not able to go clubbing. Unfortunately the apartments appear to becoming a haven for stag/hen weekends. So certainly not a luxury destination. Thankfully the walls are very thick so most of the noise is blocked. Totally fine accomodation with good free parking. However don't go along expecting great luxury as all you may get is a few drunken songs and slip up on a kebab on your way out.
