“Excellent Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

I stayed in Malone Lodge on the 4th of May. Having stayed in the hotel on previous occasions I was blown away by the recent changes, I had been informed that the hotel has undergone some changes but it is certainly more like a new hotel! Beautiful furniture throughout and a gleaming newness in all areas! Our check in was swift and the girl behind the desk was pleasant and helpful. Our room was spotless, a great size and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and sparkling new, the best bit was the great power shower which I love. We settled in the lobby area for a pre-dinner drink and a lovely friendly girl was immediately over to take our order. I was so impressed with this as even this seemingly basic service seems to be lost in hotels nowadays. Our meal in the Knife and Fork Grill was simple delicious and the service top notch. Another small thing which makes such a difference, all the staff looked so dapper and the uniforms were really smart. There seemed to be a wedding on the same night and there was a lovely buzz in the hotel. I had the best night’s sleep in the large comfy beds (and good pillows!) Breakfast the following morning was also served in the restaurant and it was fab, lovely selection and a great cooked breakfast. It seems that all the breakfast dishes are cooked to order which is a lovely touch. The hotel itself is located on a lovely quiet street and we enjoyed a lovely stroll around the University area. A short taxi drive will deliver you straight into the centre of Belfast and of course the great shops. All in all the Malone Lodge is a great choice for a trip to Belfast. Great staff, great rooms and great food. We will be back!

Room Tip: I have stayed in a variety of rooms and all seem to be quiet and well appointed

We stayed in a family room overnight on 4th/5th May 2013. We found the staff very friendly and the room comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and found both very good. The location is good for the University side of Belfast, the museum and local bars etc but you would need transport to go into the City centre. There is ample parking at the rear of the hotel.

Overall a good experience and would recommend the hotel.

The apartments are a short drive away from the hotel. Staff were courteous & helpful. The facilities in the apartment were good however we never managed to work out the microwave. Carpark is available however very tight to manoeuvre! The apartment was lovely

This hotel has been recently renovated and I was fortunate to stay there only two weeks after it re-opened. The rooms are fresh, clean and nicely equipped so that one can make a pot of tea or coffee and relax after a day of touring or a meeting. There is a new flat screen TV and a large comfortable bed as well as the usual amenities. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hair dryer in my room was not working and within only a few minutes of me asking for one at the front desk, it was brought to my room. The hotel is located a short drive from the city centre but close to Queen's University Belfast and the Ulster Museum.

I regularly hold training sessions at Malone Lodge, as well as meeting individual clients in the gorgeous new lobby. The staff are refreshingly friendly, professional, personable and extremely helpful, no matter what my request is.

The parking area to the rear of the hotel, right in the centre of Queen's Quarter is so useful. Meeting facilities are second-to-none. I have only good things to say about Marty's Reception team, Ashu's service staff on the floor, Richard's restaurant team and Martina's Conference & Events Team behind all of this. It's not often, in my experience, that all of these elements deliver to such a high standard.

And as for the new Knife and Fork Grill and Deli! Think style, high quality food, gorgeous surroundings and fantastic service. It's possible to have a high standard lunch in the space of a lunch hour. Richard and his team do a really great job.

At long last, Belfast has a business venue that offers it all ..... try it for yourself.
