“Room nice, shame about the breakfast”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Stayed 1 night . The hotel was very nice and the staff friendly. The room was great and the large bed superb. Had a nice meal in Bistro although it took a long time to arrive. Was expecting a lovely breakfast but was disappointed. Went to get some strawberry yogurt but none and ten minutes down the line and none appeared. The hot breakfast was cold and no staff clearing the tables.

I stayed here with a view to visiting Belfast and it was the best choice I could have made.
Siruated right opposite Stormont, Northern Itelands seat of Government, the Hotel was an ideal place from which to launch yourself into the delights of Belfast.
The Hotel itself is 5 star with all the amenities you would expect. The food is top drawer. It is a delight.
St Georges Market in Belfast is a must. Harland & Wolfe Shipyard home of the Titanic, was a real experience and to visit the city of Belfast where all the troubles were was a real history trip.
Belfast is also the spiritual home of Van Morrison!!!! Could things get any better?

The hotel was nice and it was clean, but the service in the restaurants were not the most friendly. We were there on a very busy weekend so the location was not ideal as the taxi prices when road traffic is bad really adds up. The breakfast was plentiful. Room service met expectations (the homemade chips were lovely...exceeded expectations there). The pillows were to die for...wish I could have snuck one home.

Room Tip: Our room was on level one looking over the main road which was lovely. Rumor was that the basement...

Stayed for just the one night on business. Chose this hotel as very conveniently located for following morning's meeting and good value B&B rate secured.

Check-in (and out) efficient, if not particularly friendly. Room very spacious but overall rather disappointing - certainly didn't live up to its "executive" category description and if anything in urgent need of a refurb. Called reception to ask if suit pressing service available, surprised to be told not. Asked if I could at least then have some trouser hangers missing from wardrobe brought up but wrong type delivered!

Ate dinner with colleagues in the hotel restaurant. Food overall of a decent quality with very large portions of everything. Service a bit hit and miss though and disappointed to have had to get up several times to ask for condiments , more wine etc despite us being one of only a few occupied tables.

Breakfast disappointingly a buffet with no fresh eggs on offer - uses to seeing this in a 3 * Holiday Inn Express but expect a little more from a 4* hotel.

Overall then, served its purpose but left me rather underwhelmed.

Room was getting a bit tired, paint, wall covering in the bathroom all in need of attention and a really noisy radiator to contend withy. Breakfast was ok and to be fair you can get the hotel at a reasonable rate.

Room Tip: Ask if there are any that have had recent refurb

My husband and I stayed here for one night during a coach tour through Ireland in August 2012. We were very impressed with the hotel..contemporary design, very clean with a nice-looking bar and restaurant within. The gym was pretty good and the location is outside of the city center (would be a cab ride to get downtown) but right across the street from Stormont Castle, which is walker/jogger/dog friendly. It's a very pretty area. We thought the breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a bit unfortunate that wi-fi internet was not included, but a minor detail in the greater scheme of things. We really enjoyed our brief stay and would recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Even the street-facing rooms were quiet, so I don't think that there's a noisy/inconvenient...
