I booked this hotel for my boyfriends 40th birthday, it was his first time in Belfast. I really can not put into words how wonderful our stay was. On arrival they had upgraded us and gave us fantastic recommendations on places to eat and drink.

The staff were attentive and kind. The room, wow the room. It was simply beautiful. And they even had a happy birthday cake waiting in there for my partner.

The breakfast is a must and has such a large selection for all palates. It was delicious!!

We are going back in a few weeks simply to stay in the europa again. Thank you ladies and gents and keep up the good work.

Xxx

Stayed one night and had a great time, could not find any fault. location is perfect ,beside the rail station. It is a three star but i think it could be rated higher .From the time we booked in to our book out everything went as it should.
we were in a very large room with a most comfortable bed (6 foot) . At lunch time we dined in the lobby bar and in the evening in the piano bar no problem either time.
Location is perfect as we went to Belfast by train , the hotel is next door to the Great Victoria rail station.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
As with most hotels breakfast ,while having a good selection ,was a bit disappointing .buffets do not seem to go well with hot food. Something we had never seen before a bottle of whiskey beside the porridge container .(bushmills). it does give the porridge a good lift.
If going for a stay in Belfast it is worth giving this hotel a consideration .

A very beautiful hotel, the room was excellent, dinner was ok, and breakfasts were wonderful at the hotel. As we were touring all over Ireland, we noticed the staff of this particular hotel in Northern Ireland to be a bit more “formal” to our group of tourists than other hotels. Not sure why. That aside, they took good care of us, the hotel was centrally located and we had an overall good experience. Check in and out was easy.

The Grand Ballroom, Europa Hotel Belfast

Back in February I attend a Gala Ball in aid of the Altnagelvin Hospital, Haematology Department.

It has some years since I last enjoyed an evening in the Grand Ballroom and I was curious to see how things had changed or not.

We gathered in the Lobby Bar that was filled with late afternoon and some early evening revellers. A nice buzz about the place and despite the throng of people we served very quickly.

We made our way to the Grand Ballroom via the Iconic staircase that has the fantastic Photographic History of this world famous building.

The Piano Bar was bustling and as ever.

As in the past the Grand Ballroom was resplendent, beautiful decor, lavish and welcoming.

The SmokedSalmon & Goats Cheese starter was well presented, rich salmon and earthy Goats Cheese with Celeriac.

For the Mains: Supreme of Chicken, superbly cooked, tender, flavoursome and accompanied by a sublime rich Jus with a subtle berry finish. Dauphoise Potato and selection of vegetables offered a very yummy supporting act.

For desert I opted for very generous portion Honeycomb Icecream.

The food was accompanied by wines from the French Shipper J Moreau & Fils.
The Blanc was clean crisp with a slight mineral finish while the Rouge had warm berried fruit with a suitable balance of tannin on the finish.

Platinum provided the entertainment to round off the evening, great band, fantastic music!

The great gift of Maturity is knowing when to discreetly slip away!
Taxi home by 12.30, to reflect upon a Superb night!

The Grand Ballroom still has all class, prestige and character that I recall from my previous experiences.

Well done all the Banqueting Team at the Europa for a most enjoyable evening.

Congratulation to the McDaid Family for raising in excess of £27,000 for Altnagelvin Hospital Haematology Department.
