We had a black cab taxi tour and it was well worth the 30 pound we paid for it , apart from the speech impediment our driver had, the stories he was telling us and the murals and painted walls he showed us were fab he stopped a few times to let us take pictures , it was a really insightful journey into the lives of the Protestants and Catholics and the peace wall , i would recommend people visiting ireland take this trip as some of the wall paintingsare a once in a lifetime must see as they get repainted every 6 months .

“Great experience”

Jim took us on a tour of the murals and gave us a locals' insight into the history of conflict in Northern Ireland. Jim gave a balanced and sobering account of 'the Troubles' and it's impact on the population. I highly recommend this tour as a way to get across the complex history of Belfast and Northern Ireland.

“Taxi Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

We did the political tour and then the Causeway-Rope Bridge-Dunluce Castle tours during our stay in Belfast. Mark, the guide picked us up promptly...(even arriving early) on the agreed time. He was very knowledgeable about all the history and patiently answered all our questions....even the non historical questions.(much appreciated Mark!!) We saw a lot of the tour buses loaded down, and I was very thankful NOT to be on those buses. The NI Black Taxi Tours were worth every penny. We took as long as we wanted, were never rushed, actually had our own schedule. This is the way to tour. Thanks a bunch.

“Best tour in Belfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

Bobby Walsh's Black Taxi Tour was the highlight of our time in Belfast...Ireland for that matter! Bobby was recommended to us by one of the fellows (very helpful, polite and friendly, by the way) promoting tours outside the Europa Hotel (great hotel). We (my daughter, 15 yr-old granddaughter & her best friend, and I) were on limited time and the day was nearing an end but Bobby fit us in. We liked him immediately! He is a wealth of information and has a way of telling the history of the Murals that kept us all informed and captivated. His historical information is made even more interesting by his sense of humor. We enjoyed the tour so much we booked the same trip again with Bobby when my son-in-law joined us on our trip a week later. Bobby even remembered us - the friendly Canadians! Bobby also put us on to Kelly's Cellars - fantastic pub! Very friendly place - we kept going back. Had a blast! Adrian could use some new jokes though (just kidding Adrian). Bobby also gave us good pointers on getting from Belfast to Dublin - don't rent a car or take a train - take the bus right beside the Europa Hotel. We booked AirCoach and believe me, they (along with the concierge at the Europa) outdid themselves in getting a (left behind by mistake) suitcase delivered to us in Dublin on the very next bus. Kudos to all who made that happen!
We hope to return to Belfast one day and will definitely book with Bobby. Great ambassador for Belfast!!!! Keep up the good work Bobby. I promise I'll have a better camera next time.

“Aussie appreciation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

This was a wonderful, personalised introduction to the history of the conflict - something it is hard for the likes of us to appreciate. Our host, Jim, gave us a well balanced explanation of many of the events and took the time to explain, many of the murals and memorials.
A pint of Guinness at the Crown capped off a great morning.
