if you enjoy tasty, flavourful food, do not allow the interior decor of this restaurant put you off.

Food is fresh and exciting. Nothing complicated or fancy. Menu is suitably varied to suit most tastes.

the restaurant itself is...i'll call it understated...paper tables clothes and hotel conderence chairs... but there is a lovely atmosphere and staff are efficent but not overbearing.

Everything is well cooked, lovely crispy squid, and prawn tempura. Duck served crispy, but not dry. Sauces well flavoured and not your usual chinese gloop.

Very reasonable, helped along by BYO.

Cant wait to go back

Just ignore the somewhat unprepossessing dining rooms. Although it looks like a caff with plain wooden floors and paper tablecloths, this is a fine restaurant. We kept to fish dishes, there are plenty on the menu. All were beautifully cooked and well flavoured, and several had enough chili to satisfy my Taiwanese sister in law (who is a chili addict). Previous reviewers have raved about the squid with salt and chili. We agree. Cooked in a delicate tempura-style batter, the contrast of the melt in the mouth squid with the robust chili and salt was exactly what you need from a starter. It's not cooking to formula though, the soft shell crab had a much chunkier batter that went well with the sweetness of the meat. Monkfish stew was a riot of flavours. After all the chili, we weren't as keen on a soy-based cod dish, although the fillet itself was steamed perfectly.
They run a very slick operation both front and back of house, not that there's much distinction between them. From our table we could see right through the pass to the two guys wok-ing away.
Prices are very good for the quality of the food. Even on a more prosaic measure, portions are large and you get a little freshly-prepared fruit salad to finish and prawn crackers to start. Perhaps the greatest achievement of Macau is that they make prawn crackers interesting, by providing dipping sauces of chili (naturally), and spring onion and ginger.
(And you get to choose any wine that you fancy since they don't have a licence and you take your own, with an insignificant corkage charge)

On my 8th visit now to this place, and it would be more if I weren't more into Indian cuisine, but upon every occasion I'm left wanting more.
The service is just perfect, attentive but not over the top. From early starter to mains the food is cooked within eysight by one of the most highly efficient teams of chefs I've ever seen.
It's quick and hot and cooked to perfection each and every time. The flavours are deep but not overpowering, rich and tasty and with constant top ups of rice and noodles, you'll not go hungry.
A little pricey but worth every penny.. Want to impress your friends, this is for you, but book well in advance!
Only downside, I find the place a bit cramped and it's BYO bottle which is great for saving money but a bit annoying when you have to remember to stop at the offie first.
6/5 if that were possible!

definitely the best Chinese food in Belfast, had the most amazing soft shell crab in salt and chili and Peking Duck... It's "Bring Your Own" too which is always a bonus!
