I thankfully did not have the pleasure of staying in this hotel but used it for a business meeting and also lunch.

Business facilities were not good and service was appalling. The list of problems at Cables Bar was as long as anywhere I've ever been. 10 people in the bar and it took over 45 minutes for service and the order was wrong/inedible when it arrived. No apologies or even pleasentries.

This will be the last time I visit this hotel, a complete shambles.

After a poor review from last year's visit i decided to give it another chance.
Check in was fine and quick and we were given our room at noon which we were pleased about.
The room was perfect and spotless and had great views of the city.
We were on the 2 night package with dinner on the 1st night, the dinner was disappointing with only 3 choices of starters, mains and desserts and £3.95 for veg or side salad.
The hotel bar is the place that really brings the hotel down. The staff were slow and generally could not be bothered to serve. The bar and tables had empty glasses and bottles which were not lifted by the lazy staff and lay there for approx 2 hours (this was the same as our last visit).
On checking out we had charges on our bill which we had not had,ie room service and a meal in the bar, this was reluctantly removed by the receptionist.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend in October. The food was excellent and the facilities equally as good.

The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable.

We would definately stay again.

Stayed here last year while over on business. I've stayed in Hilton hotels worldwide and this didn't dissappoint - nor did it set the world alight. It had all the typical services expected from a hilton hotel but lacked a personal touch.

If you are looking for a hotel with restaurant etc then i would reccommend it but there are better places to stay.

I was looking to visit Belfast for a while and looked at several hotels in Belfast (Jury's etc) but eventually settled on the Hilton. Check in time was @ 3 which wasn't a problem as i wasn't going to Belfast until the late evening anyway. Checked in at the reception, which was very nice and spacious. Got to my room which was very comfortable and homely, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was decorated in marble also which was lovely. The hotel bar is very nice & very quiet also which I like but might not be to everyone’s taste. The breakfast was very nice and there was a great view of the river also from the restaurant. All in all it was a great stay, any of the staff I talked to while I was there were really helpful and friendly, next time I’m in Belfast I’ll stay there again.

We booked directly at short notice and the price was high, which may have coloured our perceptions. The location was excellent, and the rooms were adequate for an international hotel, but there were signs of wear and a few broken fitments in the room. We were disappointed that the hotel had no pool or sauna, as these are still advertized in the 2007 NI accommodation guide. The lifts are right by the Sonoma restaurant and the smell of cooking seemed to pervade both the lifts and the lobby - very strange! Beds very comfortable and room heating good (with option of fresh air). Parking was convenient and probably cheaper than any on street or public carpark at £14 for 24 hours.

Not only is the Hilton in an ideal location, being in the waterfront area therefore close to the City Centre, the staff for me really made my stay pleasant. (I was here for 3 days on business)

Every single staff member I had dealings with were polite and so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Clearly a very dedicated team run this hotel and are definitely clued up on customer service.

The hotel has a spacious and bright feel to it, especially the restaurant, where the breakfast buffet is excellent.

Do ask for a river view therefore you can see the two famous cranes, plus on a clear day, Stormont in the distance. A room with good views always makes a hotel room brighter!

The rooms are a good size, flat screen TV, bed is comfortable and bathroom clean. Nice selection of toiletries too. For some fresh air, you can even open the window in the room, that is unusual these days in many hotels.

Not only would I certainly recommend this Hotel but would encourage a visit to Belfast whatever the reason, I was thoroughly impressed, what a great City it is, so much to see and do and the people are wonderfully friendly. This was my first trip here and will certainly not be my last!

  • Liked — Friendly and helpful Staff
