the cathedral itself is beautiful. Nothing over the top, just simple and dignified. It has lots of military memorabilia. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They do suggest a £2.00 donation per person and you are able to gift aid any donation. The cathedral quarter itself seems to have precious little else but the 3 buoys, so don't expect toomuch but the cathedral is worth a visit.

the great thing about belfast is the nice wide streets and the signs and maps on every corner. The cathedral quater is a great place to make use of this, and go for a walk. The multitude of signs will direct you to all the important and interesting buildings, of which there are many. Just head in the general direction of the Quater and you will find cool buildings pretty soon.

The area is dominated by the lovely St Anne's cathedral and a university of Ulster building - with lots of nightspots for young people.
