“Great for a night out.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

This is a lovely cinema, offering a wide variety of classics, modern and locally produced movies. This offers the opportunity for smaller budget movies to be viewed on a large screen. There is a wonderful atmosphere to be enjoyed by people of all ages.

“Intimate Vibrant Film Theatre”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

I recently went to QFT to see Behind the Candelabra - in the theatre on the week of it's release. It is in a row of victorian houses and as soon as you walk in you can see and hear that the whole place is full of life and vibrancy. On the left is the recently refurbished Jamieson Bar where you can order wine either by the glass bottle and there is also a good range of cocktails, coffee and snacks on top of all this. You can then sit at a table and soak up the atmosphere. The subdued lighting is particularly relaxing. There is a large screen in this area as well showing clips from upcoming films. To take advantage of this you need to reach the theatre with half an hour to spare before the film. You can book online and just walk in to either Screen 1 or Screen2. The red velvet seats in Screen 1 are roomy and comfortable with plenty of leg room. A cool place to go

“Cosy 2 Screen Cinema”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

This is an Arthouse cinema for want of a better word. Smaller more intimate screens and a selection of films not on at the multiplexes. they do a great coffee and you can even get a pint (although you can't take it into the cinema) the seats are comfortable and the audience is usually less rambunctuous than in the bigger cinemas. A great night out and a lovely experience.

“Great theater in a surprising place”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

This theater is like Doctor Who's Police Box, much bigger on the inside. When you walk in you think it is a small terrace building flanking other terraces, but it opens to a large seating area and wine bar. The place is packed with cool people and there's a board to leave your favorite movie quotes to stir conversation while waiting. It's eclectic and cool!
