Compared to other museums in the UK this one is small, but has a lo of things. Great place to spend time when its raining. Spend some time and learn some of the art history of Ireland. Its a beautiful place.

This was a great day out, lots to see and do in the museum. The exhibits were spaced out and lots of information provided. You could easily spend a few hours in there. Went to the Cafe when we were done looking around. Wasn't really a good selection in my opinion and was priced very high but can't complain considering the museum is free.
Would definitely go back again

Great museum, wide range of exhibitions and lots of interactive activities to take part in. Good location in the botanic gardens. Could visit again and again, always something different to see.

This museum has had a huge revamp since I was here last. It was money well spent, and whoever oversaw this transformation deserves an award. Before, it was dark and confused; now it's airy and logical.

The collections are much as before, but properly presented now. Get the lift to the top floor and begin with Art and Glass, before wending your way down through Irish history and dinosaurs to the new museum shop, itself good value.

The collections are small and of high quality - there is nothing dull or second rate here.
This means you can see it all in a couple of hours, with no overload and fatigue......the Ulster museum is "just the right size".
All captions and labels are concise and appropriate - if only all museums could manage this.

Afterwards, go for a stroll in the surrounding Botanic Gardens to round off a perfect day.

There is so much to see and do in this museum! It's interesting for people of all ages too, which is obviously great. There are activities and challenges, making the museum interactive, for children and also some exhibits more targeted at adults. If you want to see everything and read every last bit of information then it will take a few hours, but there is a nice cafe on the ground floor if you are in need of refreshment.
