From this castle you have great views of belfast city. Also it has a nice garden with lots of 'cats' (there are 9 or 10 cats in the garden, can't remember exactly. It is nice to go and look for them if you are with children). Inside, the castle is not more than a party location. I'm sure it is a nice place for a wedding but if you are looking for anything historical this is not the place to go.

When you like hiking, this castle can be a great starting point to climb upto cave hill.

Discovered this gem nestled in the north hills of Belfast by taxi, and climbed Napoleon's nose (which is right above) on the hardest side. There are many activities to be done around the castle, including a lovely antique shop, a tea room, walks and outdoor games for the kids. Weddings are taking place on a regular basis there.
The view is really breathtaking when you go visit on a sunny day. Seeing from Scotland to the Republic of Ireland (past the Mournes mountains).

Although we could not visit all of the castle due to a wedding ceremony, the parts we could see- gardens, pub/restaurant - were wonderful. Great scones! The view over the city is really nice, as is the ride up.

We went to the castle for a friends wedding, first glimps of the castle is a wow moment, the building itself is stunning add too that the marvellous manicured gardens and if the weather is good it's a fantastic place to be, the stone swirling staircase is as good as they come, the views over the water are glorious. Inside you have a fantastic wooden staircase and great main room, it does the city proud to have such a fine structure and anyone getting married there is very lucky indeed

This area was beautiful. Pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful restaurant in the Belfast Castle. The food was absolutely delicious and very cost effective. Really enjoyed our visit.
