“A nice mix of old and new, professional and personal”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

There's not that much to walk around in the same way that there is in Oxford, Cambridge or Durham but the main building and some of the side streets show glimpses of this. I'm also awarding a 5 star rating for Queen's excellent adult education programme, its public festival and its integration with the province, city and community at large.

“Impressive buildings”

Chose to stay in the university area to get chance to walk round to see the architecture. As a librarian, i always like a photo op with another library

“MP Bernadette Devlin was a student here”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Queens is a beautiful old university situated in the nicest part of Belfast.
Famously Seamus Heaney studied here, and also Bernedette Devlin who at the age of 21 was elected into the British parliament the youngest woman ever to be an MP. She didn't finish her degree at Queens however, and there is no portrait in the Great Hall.

Good art gallery The Naughton is situated upstairs in what was the old telephone exchange.
Close to the Ulster Museum anf Botanic Gardens .

“Grand old university in the heart of Belfast”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Been to Belfast lots of times from Australia and went to Queens for the first time this trip. Was really impressed with the architecture, history and general vibe of the place. We had hop-on hop-off bus tickets which dropped us off at the door and spent a couple of hours there before walking through the gardens for a leisurely stroll back to Belfast. Well worth a look see.
