I brought my wife and two year old for some lunch the other day. the place a jam packed with people and had a great buzz about it.
the waiter who may have been the manager was very pleasant and offed us some colouring in crayons and juice. We appreciated the fact that he brought the juice in a take away cup with a lid and straw for our child, very thoughtful.

the scrambled egg was the best I have tasted in years and the wife had a big breakfast which was fantastic, it wasn't a big plate of fatty greasy food but well presented and cooked.

The idea of ordering at the counter is a bit of a hassle but I am sure you get used to it.

We will definitely be returning to Renoir as you don't feel as if you have to leave as soon as you finish your meal which is lovely.....Oh and the wife had 3 free refills of coffee.

overall 4.5 / 5 only cause the building is a bit run down inside.

great food, all the staff were great and the price was great for such nice food.

Thank Chris S

Have been here before so gladly suggested to a friend that we meet here for lunch. Too few staff who were doing their best and still polite in the midst of utter chaos. table service was cancelled due to lack of staff and I was up and downstairs 4 times to find cutlery and forgotten parts of my order. Dont mind that -needed the exercise- but day out with friend interrupted by unavailability of everything!!

My wife and I went into town for food this evening. We parked at Botanic and started walking to see what there was to eat.

We walked past Cafe Renoir at first then turned round and decided to give it a go.

As soon as we got in the door we were welcomed by a friendly waiter who kindly showed us to our table. As soon as we sat down a waitress was straight over and asked us if we would care for a drink. We ordered and they came promptly with a smile.

The food here is amazing. We had a pizza each and a fantastic big dessert as well.
The waiter from earlier came over and introduced himself as the manager and proceeded to ask us if everything was ok with the meal and what we thought of the experience so far as it was our first time. it was nice to actually have someone take an interest in our opinion, usually a manager swans round saying nothing and just directing.

When we finished we had to go up and ask for the bill as the staff were busy setting up for what looked like a big party coming in.

overall the pleasant and a-tentative staff were great , the good food and a lovely atmosphere made for a great surprise and we will certainly be back again.
Thanks to Chris for making us feel welcome. See you again next week.

Nothing fancy but a varied enough menu and not over priced.
Really good selection of pizzas with beautiful thin and crispy base!
Decent enough selection of beer, cider and wine but also the option of boy wine with £3 courage charge.
Not the place you're going to spend all night over dinner but great for a bit before heading on somewhere.

The Craft Shop down the road recommended this and they were right, excellent coffee and herbal teas, a really spectacular range of HUGE and really interesting scones Am sure lunch would be as good (also nice "foodies to buy")
